Used GOTY Editions at GS

CAG Veteran
Hey CAGs. I'm preparing a list of post-Christmas games to buy, and what I
came up with was a bunch of GOTY editions, specifically:

Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate
Borderlands GOTY
Grand Theft Auto 4 Complete

Now, I was thinking of snatching these from Gamestop, because I have a giftcard. My question for experienced GS shoppers is this (really it's 2)

1) For each of these games, is the DLC on a disc or in a code?
2) If it's on disc, is a used copy of the three above games guaranteed to have that DLC disc, or if it's a code, should I just not even bother?

Not sure about the other two but Borderlands GOTY should have all dlc on the disc, but be careful, the older copies of the GOTY came with codes that could only be used once. Check to make sure you get the all in one.

I remember seeing a thread on here about the DLC for Borderlands GOTY. The different versions had a variation on the wording about the DLC on the front cover. Mine has the DLC on disc and says "All 4 add-on packs". If I remember correctly, the version with the DLC on vouchers says "All 4 add-on vouchers".

:ps3: DA:O Ultimate should have the DLC on the disc (at least that's how mine is). The "more recent" version of Borderlands GOTY have the DLC on the disc as well.

If you're buying them used at GS you can just test them out yourself. They will refund your money if you're not satisfied with the game. So even if you get an older version of Borderlands, you can just return it. This only applies to used games though so make sure they're used, and keep your receipt. I believe the return policy was extended for the holidays too so ask at your store.

I'll make this really simple for you re: Borderlands @ Gamestop:

At the register during checkout, tell them you need the 2-disc version and you're only interested in it if there are 2 discs in the copy they're pulling for you.

1-disc = no-buy (same as vanilla version)
2-disc = 2nd disc is all DLC content available to install with no codes required.

Regardless of which empty box you bring to the front counter, it all comes down to which paper envelope they pull from their dirty drawers.
