anyone ever do business with Urashima? I paid him for Valkyrie Profile on wednesday after some email communications and even picked up VP Lenneth for him because he lowered the price. Anyways, I paid him wednesday and havent heard from him since. CAG shows hes logged on since then, but still he has not replied to any of my messages. Luckily I waited to ship VP Lenneth until he gave me tracking/delivery confirmation number showing he shipped me Valkyrie profile, but since he hasn't i will most likely return VP Lenneth on tuesday. *sigh* why do people have to be like this? everyone do not trade with or buy from URASHIMA.

ps if for some miraculous reason he gets back to me buy tuesday and proves he shipped valkyrie profile, I will make a new post to clear his name.
 
These messages should be sent to Pookymeister or other moderators.

Also, don't bump a topic when a minute hasn't even passed yet.
 
hi, thanks for the responses. yeah i just pm'ed pookymeister not too long ago..i am somewhat new so i am still unsure about where to post, etc. yes i did pay via paypal so if i don't hear from him by tuesday i will be filing a claim. i am still relatively new to this forum and game trading but if i continue to have experiences like this then I will most likely stop. Thats a shame too because I have over a hundred ps2 games, 20 something ps3 games, and 100 something dreamcast games..plus blu-rays, dvds, japanese artbooks, figures, etc. I just haven't posted a list yet because I want to make sure this is a safe place to trade...which I'm not really feeling right now.
 
It's a very safe place, there is scammers sometimes, but people with higher trade ratings are your best bet until you eventually get up there too and then people will start sending first to you.

How long ago did this trade go done and how long has it been today?

Sometimes people are horrible at communication and/or shipping, but it doesn't mean something is necessarily up. Doesn't mean it's not either.

It's good to be safe, but this threads don't really do anything until you know for sure you've been scammed. Stick with the mods until you find something out, you may of just rushed the gun because you got so nervous. It really isn't fair yet.

no ones begging you to trade here, but it is unfortunate that he hasn't contacted you back after X amount of days. A good option is to trade with higher feedback traders. You could also confirm their identity/personal contact information for extra insurance on large transactions. Either way, these circumstances are the same in basically any trading forum.

I would have been scammed by drunkpullock for a laptop if I had not been cautious and asked for this information and immediately refused after asking for a scan of his drivers liscense/signed agreement/signature confirmation on pickup.

That's definitely reasonable for big trades, but not for a game. :p
Glad you did that though, that was smart.
 
agreed as previous posters said, but this is a good trading community as long as you deal with established traders and not random newbies who just registered a week or so.
 
I know you're upset and you want to drag his name through the mud but it's taboo to talk about trades on the forums. If you need to talk to someone talk to a mod.

But in all my time here I've never had a problem, with anyone. Guess I've been lucky.
 
This honestly is a safe place to me. In my 100+ trades, i've only had one problem (unfortunately not resolved, but it's not over yet, and it was my fault anyway for dealing with a noobie). As long as you deal with established traders, you should be fine. Also, i've dealt with Urashima and i doubt he's a scammer. He could just be away or something. Did anyone try contacting him on AIM or PSN/Live or something?

thanks everyone for the replies! im really feeling the support..yeah he has actually been online as recently as last night, but still hasn't replied to any of my messages. i paid for the game on wednesday and havent heard from him since. he told me he was shipping thurs or fri and that i should ship VP lenneth at the same time. had i done that i would probably be out lenneth AND the 50 bucks. pookymeister is helping me out so im gonna let him handle the situation and see what happens. thanks everyone for the support!
 
I know he seems shady, but if he hasn't been on yet today, no way he could see this, right? He could've been really busy and planned to pm you later.
If he shipped friday, then you won't see it til next week more than likely, possibly longer. Give it some time, I doubt he's scamming you. Just stay on top of it and wait until next weekend. If you haven't heard from him by then, something is probably up.
Be patient for now.

That does not mean he scammed you. It could just mean he is a crappy trader, mainly at communication. Don't rule either out, it could be either way obviously. However, some people are just lazy, or do not always reply to pms immediately. It's only been a few days, so be a bit more patient and see what happens. It's too early to determine his intentions.
 
I think you should be fine with him (I haven't heard/seen anything wrong), but if there are problems, you can let me know.

And yeah, I think this is a bit early to start a thread. Threads should definitely start if it has been two weeks (where let's say you paid someone or sent something and haven't heard anything).

This thread shouldn't even exist. Contacting a mod and informing them of the situation is all that was necessary. They can take it from there. It's been 5 days. I realize he has logged on and is ignoring pm's but still to create this thread isn't necessary. That would be the mods job. Yes, I'd be pissed if no reply too.
 
He just got a new job that is taking up his time. I just gave him a call and everything is good.. He should reply shortly
 
As per the first post, I do apologize for the lack of communication. I recently got hired on to a new job and that's been getting all of my attention the past 4 days. Most nights I come in to tired to even get on CAG let along respond to PMs; however, that is no excuse for a lack of communication.

that makes sense i guess.. i am waiting patiently for your response to my pms...which i hope is soon because i only have til tuesday to return VP Lenneth (just in case).
