I sent a package Express Mail. On the tracking, it says it went through the sort facility near the destination, then "Forward Expired" then back to being sorted at the sort facility near the destination, which is the last tracking update. Its supposed to arrive at its destination tomorrow before noon.

The "Forward Expired" makes no sense because this is a government office that hasn't moved since its inception and the address on the label is correct and taken right off the government's website.

Has anyone ever had a random or false "Forward Expired" issue pop up on their shipping tracking but still have the item delivered just fine as planned?

Sounds like someone mis-scanned it along the way at the sorting hub local to the area.

The only reason a "Forward Expired" should come up is if the recipient moved from the address you sent it to and their mail forward is no longer valid. Since it sounds like that's not the case here, I think someone just made a mistake at the sorting hub.

Thanks for the reply. Seems like it was mis-scanned or something. It went to the city's P.O. this morning then was delivered like it was supposed to be.
