Anyone know any good deals on these games besides gamestop since most are backordered and it's very difficult to track them down calling every store. If not that's understandable, I know they're rare and expensive, but I appreciate everyone's help who replied to the rez thread and hope I'll have better luck with some of these.
Blockbuster (franchise stores), fye, and local used cd stores that sell games are your best bet.
Yeah, that'd be about a one in a million shot. Although I have found a Valkyrie Profile at a pawn shop for $5.99, but that was one time out of searching pawn shops in my town about three times a week for the last year. It had scratches and no instruction booklet, but I still managed to get $68 on Ebay.

Ebay IS still the best bet, although it won't be cheap. You probably want to hear otherwise but it's a lie, there's no guarentees any other place will carry these games (except maybe half.com or Amazon, but they charge the same or more)

I've gotten most of my rare games as of late by using Gamestop.com's store locator. If it says something is in-stock in-store, I'll either go down or call and have them hold the item until I get there.

Suiokden 2 pops in-store it seems once every two months in my area, Western WA. I try to check every couple nights my list of wanted games and see what pops up. Much easier and less of a hassle than calling each store with your list of games every week. ^_^

Be careful when calling though. Although you probably can't judge the scruples of a sales person over a phone conversation, sometimes if you call ahead you actually draw attention to the fact that it might be in stock and the sales person will take it for themselves.

Sorry to be so negative and judgemental but I happen to speak from experience.

People in Maine have this thing called the Uncle Henry's. Anyone looking to sell anything in Maine/New Hampshire lists it in the Uncle Henry's. People interested in it will call, and it is either done through the mail or you go to their house and pick it up. It's like a self-serving auction, or a 500-page trade list.

If you ahve anything like that, I'd suggest looking into the video game section. People have no idea how much some games are worth. I bought two Ataris, four controllers, and 60 games for $20.

I like the massive slowdown and reduced sound quality the best.

The problem with GameStop's site and store locator, is that many games are not listed. I'd love to use it to try and find Namco Museum 5, but it's not on the site.

when it comes down to a choice of either playing filtered awesome or crying yourself to sleep every night cause the cool kids make fun of you for never playing it, go filtered :p

Pawn shop. I second that quotion. Can't say anywhere else rather than pawn shop. This week, I scored another Valkyrie Profiles complete at a local pawn shop (it's 2 min drive from my house) for only $5.99 and Lunar 2 Eternal Blue complete with all extra for $24.99. So look around your local pawn shops; you never know what kind of stuffs show up there.
