First time seeing the VGA award show and it totally bombed. I am not asking for the Oscars but how can anybody take the venue seriously?.

1. Celebrities come to the stage, lazereyepewpew teleprompter, promote game and/or movie. Exit stage

2.Snoop, huh?. Iron fucking Mike Tyson next to who?, huh?. Spike robbed Stevie and Stephen Smith went apeshit on Tiger. They promote their game and/or movie. Exit stage

3. Clueless, hot(?) woman just failing at cosplay every five minutes. Promote game and/or movie. exit stage with the winners.

4. Gamestop POWER TO THA PLAYAZ on my 46"every 20 minutes in uncomfortably large font and BIG BOLD. Promote their game and/or movie. Exit stage

5. Why even have a Sports section?. "Here are the nominees, EA Canada, EA USA, EA Europe.......and 2K SPORTS!. Promote their game and/or movie. Exit stage.

6. VGA 2009: The Sands of Time. Promote their game and/or movie. Exit stage.


It looks like GOTY is awarded through the website's voting poll, YAY for Naughty Dog!.
 
Sadly this was the least embarrassing version of the VGA's I've seen.

They might as well just make a 30 min show where they just show off the "WORLD EXCLUSIVE" trailers the whole time.

The fact that Flower won the Best Indie game FUELED BY DEW makes me laugh with irony. I can't imagine a game further away from what market that drink tries to capture.
 
It's a video game award show WTF do you expect? It is the network way of getting developers to ADVERTISE their upcoming games >.> The awards are just the minor part. doh! >.> It is something for the gamers out their to feel proud about their culture is all.
