OK, this most likely isn't a very widespread deal, but I figured I'd post it just in case. Basically, I was at Target recently and saw they had a small stack of VF4:Evos in their clearance area, but they weren't marked with a price. Naturally I took it up to the counter, asked them how much it was, and they said it wasn't in their system. So, the guy said "oh yeah, I think we were going to sell those for cheap, like $4 or $5, I'll sell it to you for 4 bucks". Needless to say, I happilly picked up a few (one for me, one for a friend). I have absolutly no idea why they had them in (In don't recall them having the game before then, even in the case), or why they weren't in their system, but if nothing else it might be worth it to check out yoru local Target and see if they have any copies, you might luck out. It's almost like they recieved a shipment of them recently and had already taken the game out of their system, perhaps a shipping error on Target's part? Might be worth it to see if any other stores got them in.

Hmm, didn't see any mention of VF4 in the Target Clearance thread...or of games mysteriously appearing at a store without a price when they haven't previously even been in the store (one of the reasons I made a seperate thread). But, I could just close this topic and post it in the clearance thread if anyone thinks it would fit there better.

Lucky you, my Hastings has the same combo pack out for $250. I asked a cleark about the PSTwo's and he said they should get them in a few weeks.. I mentioned that the combo pack is still 250, and he kinda cocked an eyebrow.. he said that he guarentees it's not that price anymore, but still.. expensive.

Hmm, alright them, putting Virtua Fighter 4 in the search didn't pull up any Target threads...wierd...guess people always abreviated it to VF4.

Yeah, I scanned it at Target, and it said "Item not found" so I figured I'd get it for half price, but they magically got it to scan at the register and $200. Blah. :x

Funny you mentioned this. I just picked up VF4 : Evolutions for $4.98 this evening. When scanned it had no price. So I had an employee do a price look up... and the last price listed was $4.98. This was the only copy I saw. The target was located in Voorhees, NJ.

when something doesn't scan on the price scanners, it is a salvage item. meaning, the price change team hasn't gotten around to picking that item up and taking it to the back to be sent into oblivion. target employees are not allowed to buy salvage stuff, which sucks. i've found many a digital camera for 20 bucks. it's because some employees like to hide shit in the back and wait for it to go clearance. what a great company.
I've been looking for a cheap copy of VF4:Evo in the Chicagoland area (north side, preferrably) for a while now. I was originally looking to get in on the (thru Saturday/today) B2G1 free deal at TRU (along with Guilty Gear for the Xbox and maybe another $20 game... like Soul Calibur II or Xenosaga), but if the game's really $5 at local Target stores, then I'm be all over it. I'll try calling a store early Saturday, but I was wondering: the Target web site still lists the game as $19.99, so is there any chance I can still get it that cheap in-store? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
