Voter Fraud Thread.
I'm still of the opinion that voting doesn't matter, i really don't know why i bother.
for national politics it hardly does, unless the close is very very very close, which they rarely are.

voting matters more on the local level. youre local officials, local bonds, local measures etc.

I wasn't thinking much about the closeness of the vote tally, rather that the popular vote is more of a census. The election is sultimately decided by the electoral college. See 2000 election for example.

Yeah I thought this would be a thread about ACORN.

Ok not really off topic, but a lil bit. Let's say Republicans don't take back the House OR the Senate. How many people will be blaming ACORN?

Wonder if it'll be more or less than the people still blaming Bush...

Agreed. Thus the more power given to local officials, the better.

Well I think Bush had just a little more impact on this country than more people give him credit for. For example, it would be disingenuous to not blame Bush for the mess in Afghanistan. And you need to understand what the problem was and how it was caused so you don't repeat it.

If you're referring to the generic 'bush was dumb' people then I agree.

I think Bush, his administration and Congress that granted him virtually unlimited power screwed a lot of things up.

But, at some point, I want to see our elected officials cleaning up the messes instead of pointing fingers.

Yes, Mr. President. We know Bush screwed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, get us out.

I think we'd get much better end results if we just anonymously attached names of people running for office to each dish at Chuck-a-Rama for a week - each ounce missing from the dish is a vote - and counted the results.

Because humongous messes get cleaned up so well in one year. Look at the aftermath of every major war in the history of mankind and find one war that was all wrapped up and problem free in one year.

As for voter fraud, I'm not sure it's possible to have a clean election as long as we have electronic voter machines.

It's *possible*. But at the point the invisible hand of the shadow government is controlling everything, does it really matter what any of us do/say?

Kings County, New York District Attorney Joe Hynes put out a statement just now:
On Sept. 15, 2009, my office began an investigation into possible criminality on the part of three ACORN employees. The three had been secretly videotaped by two people posing as a pimp and prostitute, who came to ACORN’S Brooklyn office, seeking advice about how to purchase a house with money generated by their ‘business.’ The ‘couple’ later made the recording public. That investigation is now concluded and no criminality has been found.

Yikes...sorry Bob. Breitbart says hi though ;)
