Wal-Mart (Huge YMMV) - ArmA: Combat Operations $15 clearance
So buy it again and return the new copy with the old reciept
I would but I got it from EB Games. They gut their games so that would be a no go.

I don't have the slightest interest in this game, but seeing another Walmart deal thread makes me have to ask the following:

Does anyone ever find Walmart deals are the same at multiple locations? From what I've read, if one Walmart is selling something crazy cheap, all other Walmarts on this watery globe are selling it at full price and fuck-you-very-much.

The reason is that each Wal-mart takes markdowns independently, unlike most other retail chains. Things show up "deleted" in the system, but after that, it's up to each individual store to clearance them out. Every once in a while there will be a company-wide clearance price, but not often.

ArmA is a game that, at least at my store, we got in, and it has never had a designated spot on our shelf. So, I'd imagine some stores would end up clearancing it, but other stores (like mine) never clearance software/video games.

So what happens to the games that never get clearanced then? I've always wondered that. And how are those $20 bins different from dropping out of the system? Is that what the stores do instead of clearance them?

Thank you for taking the time to explain that to me/other CAGs.
You bought an opened PC game as new? I'm such a cheapass anymore that paying over $5 for any game is a ridiculous idea imo anymore.
You will eventually get any game you want for 5.00, so I agree.

You know, you come on here and try to give fellow gamers a heads up about a deal and what not and try to help them out. Instead you get a bunch of childish smartass replies. fuck it. No more help from me. Back to lurking.

It pisses me off when people complain about YMMV threads at Wal-Mart. Chances are, if you see it at one it will be at various levels of markdown at many others. I've seen the same stuff in Wal-Marts nowhere close to each other at different levels of markdown, as odhen explains.

If you have a crappy Wal-Mart, look elsewhere, if you can't do that, then tough.
