I am sure most people know this but it never hurts to remind.
With some of the adds this week I have price matched at Wal-Mart
and got them for a little less then in the other stores adds.

For example I got X-Men Legends for $36

Most Wal-Marts should do this, I don't think its ymmv
I thought they didn't have a price match policy.
They automatically price match Target...but I'm not sure who else they price match. I sure you would get one if you brought in a Best Buy ad though.

I've heard Wal-Mart's are generally more of a pain in the ass to PM at than some other stores. Never tried it at my local one.
I got pissed after they wouldn't price match the target ad on the $7.50 Good Bad and Ugly collector's dvd
Yeah, not price matching a misprint, that is pretty low /sarcasm
Try SEARS....I hear they have an excellent PM policy. They actually carry a lot of VideoGames too....I was SURprised
Some Sears stores do have a decent game selection, some have next to nothing. Good suggestion, but YMMV.
well both the Wal-Marts near me Price match below Best Buy & Target regularly. They usually beat their prices but at least a buck.
Abitrarily beating their prices by at "least a buck" is not like taking the ad to the Wal-Mart and having them match the ad. That's what we are talking about here. It sounds like your WM might look at the ads and match or beat selected ones with actual pricing on the items.

I think that would be pretty unusual too. Where is this Wal-Mart?

Or correct me if I'm wrong.

Are you talking about
A. Wal-Mart employees either scouting other stores or reading competitrs ads in order to undercut them at store level OR
B. Taking in a Target ad and PM'ing it that way.

A happens at all Wal-marts, but not always with the gaming goods.
B is a bitch normally, and AFIK, they dont go lower with PM's

Walmart price matches the other stores ads. The Walmart here will sell you games for the other stores price. I wish they would take 10% off.

The few times Wal-mart PMed for me were painless. All they required was the ad of the other store

On some items they will do it automatically but they will do it if you bring in the ad too. On anything they have done the PM on they will put up the other stores ad by the item or just a sign that says save on their ad with the new price lower than the other places ad.

The ones I am talking about are both in central Ohio (Circleville, Canal Winchester).

Walmarts around here will price match to Target but not Best Buy or Circuit City since they say they are not "direct competitors".

A few local Sears stores around here have no games whatsoever. They quit carrying them around the time the N-64 died out.

That's great so while Walmart is now delving into every open market they aren't directly competeing with BB and CC they are simply stealing their customers with their every day low low prices

has anyone else seen this? i was at wal mart and the tags that say the price for new things on sale have a little note on it that says "staple competitor price here" another wal mart actually had competitor prices stapled on them for every item with a note that says competitors price or something like that

Wal Mart does have signs that say "Lowest Price ...Guaranteed", right? I mean, I've pricematched with them a few times over the years... it's just them having a game in stock and having a printed ad to do it with that can get in your way.
