Dropbox is a kick-ass and dead-simple tool for syncing files across multiplayer computers while having a backup "in the cloud" at the same time. It also has a slew of other awesome stuff like file versioning, public/private sharing and photo gallery support.
Free accounts usually get only 2GB of space on sign up. Though if you sign up under my referral link and get started with the application you'll get 250MB of extra space!
Of course, you can do the same thing I'm doing and also refer others to get more space yourself (premium accounts actually get 500MB per user they sign up, up to 6GB, while free users are half those)
