Is this a timed sale or MSRP drop? Yet another Tim Schafer game hits the bargain bin...
It's actually more of a Nathan Martz game.

Just bought War In The North Collectors Edition. Wow! When this game first came out, it was $130. Almost bought it during the Toys R Us sale, but declined!

I just remember Schafer at E3 talking about how happy he was that he's making a game for his daughter.

Oh, he worked on it. It just bothers me when everyone thinks that anything with the Double Fine name on it means it's a "Tim Schafer game." Not one of their last four games (Costume Quest, Stacking, Trenched, Once Upon a Monster) were based on a concept that he created or had him as the project lead. He worked on them, certainly, but they weren't "his" games.

I'm not saying that you were suggesting these things, it's just a little pet peeve of mine (even though I totally love Tim Schafer). Anyway, sorry for ranting...

Indeed, Double Fine is more than just Tim Schafer, there's a lot of creative talent in that studio. (Trench was renamed Iron Brigade, BTW).

I don't believe it would make any difference if Once Upon a Monster was made by another studio, the target audience for that game dictated an early price drop, in my opinion.

Oh, and the game they're working on right now, Happy Action Theater, with no name behind it, is doomed to failure. >.

EB could do price matching, but seriously, what retailer would want the RFD community as their customers?
EB really needs to start price matching. They would get so many more costumers that way.
They make their money from used games and price-matching doesn't really benefit that.
