Was this a good find?
Threads of Fate mint and complete for $15. Found this at EB. I'm a PS1 rpg newb. Yeah I'll admit it.
I had a chance to buy it for the same price today and passed. $15 is a bit high IMO, I'll find it cheaper.
It's a good RPG.
But on a system with so many great rpgs, should I even care? I only ask because it's one of the few PSOne Squaresoft rpgs I don't own.

It's an Action/RPG. In any case, $15 is about the average. Although, if you factor in that you got it in person, that makes it a better deal as you don't have to pay for shipping/wait for it to show up.

I think it's a pretty good find if it's in mint condition. I just picked up a complete copy for $2.99 at GR yesterday. The instructions and insert are in mint condition, but the game has some scratches.

That's a pity. I'd much have it the other way around.

One of my all-time favorite games.

Doesn't go out of its way to try to have an overly pretentious story or extremely complex gameplay, but manages to make the overall experience extremely fun.

A suggestion, though: play through as Rue first, then as Mint. His story-line is a little more challenging / hers is definitely much more humorous.

Probably one of Square's best localizations for the storyline as well.

I hate to crap on anyones find or tell someone that enjoyed a game that it stinks but personally I thought Threads of Fate was one of Squares worst games ever. It's nearly as bad IMO as the entire SaGa series of games and that's from a guy who owns 20+ Square, Enix and Square Enix games.
