Water Damage DS

Nyquil

CAGiversary!
Ok my old electric blue ds got wet. it didn't plunge into the bathtub, toilet, ocean or etc. my water bottle just leaked some water. now the ds has one of those silicon jackets so i imagined that not much water was submerged in. but at first i could get to the title screen of a game, but now i can't at all. and the light of the bottom screen flickers and fades away then turns off. i was wondering if leaving it out to dry for a couple of days and it will work again or i am screwed. cause the square is red dotted so :(

i would make a video of what it does, but i don't want to damage it further by turning it on tho cause maybe it is still wet on the inside if at all.

let it dry out for a day or so and see if it works then, if not, call nintendo and just explain what happened, most likely they'll tell you to send it in and for a fee they'll fix it or send you a refurb one.

It's best to let the ds dry before turning it on because turning it on while it's wet even a little it might mess it up.

This never happened to me before, but i've read posts before where they'd got water on theirs and pretty muchly everyone said let it dry completly before turning it back on to see if it'll work.

I guess after a couple of days and nothing works try and contact Nintendo about getting it fixed for a fee..

I've accidently droped my little yellow poke'mon pikachu I think it was called the yellow pedometer game in the dogs water dish it stoped working I'm not sure for how long, but I let it sit out and one time I checked it I think around 3 or 4 days ago it was working I had already bought a replacement, but it was still neat that it worked..

I guess it all depends on what water got into the ds and if it touched anything important..

I hope things turns out well for your DS.

Ya let it sit and dry...I had a keyboard that got water spilled on it and I had tried it a couple times, 6 months later tried it when i found it again, still didnt work, year later I tried it and it did! :D
