I was at my local EB and saw mint copies of Shenmue and Timestalkers for the Dreamcast each priced at $7.99. Thinking that they were a good deal I buy them along with a mint Metal Gear Solid.

The thing is I go home and check EB's site and they have both of those games for $4.99 each. Would they pricematch if I go back and ask them to?

If I had known that they were only $5 online (less than $4 after codes) I would've bought them online. It's almost a 50% difference.

the prices might not be the same. However if you buy it in store you will know the condition of the games while online the might be disc only.

During Christmas, GameStop.com provided you with a free game of $29.99 or less if you purchased a GameCube. The brick and mortar stores gave you a "value" pack worth $30. It contained a controller and memory card, or something. They were generic brands, though.

I went to the brick and mortar store and asked if they could "deal" match it. He explained that the site and the physical store are two seperate things, despite having the same name. While they're both called "EBGames," they're really not exactly the same thing. They're operated seperately and have different ways of running things, including the way they price.

Looks like the guy tricked me. I would return them and order online but the guy(I think it was the manager) didn't put stickers on them. At the time it sounded like he was being nice saying he didn't want to mess them up by placing stickers (but I guess it's alright to stick stickers on the back, front, and on the instruction guide), but now I don't know...

oh well. Now I have to get my hands on my friends Dreamcast, otherwise it'll be a total loss. I bought the games even though I don't have a Dreamcast.
