Weekly Sphero Giveaway Contest

For those of you that never heard of Sphero, it's a robotic ball that cost $130 and you control it with your Android/iOS Device.

Saw a blurb on it on GTTV a few weeks ago, and it looks like a pretty cool little gadget, but not for $130

So on the Sphero blog a few weeks ago they've been having a weekly giveaway contest for anyone who submits the best Sphero-related fan art, video, game idea, etc.
I entered this past week, but didn't win. But they did post my submission on the blog (mine is the modified M.C. Escher wall poster)

It looks like I won the giveaway for week 8 for my Sphero game idea!
They said they are shipping it to me on Monday so hopefully I will have it in a few days.

Looks like the contest is still going on next week as well. I didn't see anywhere on the site when it will end. I guess they are giving away lot of these since it's a new product? Anyways good luck to everyone else!

Thanks OP. Looks kind of interesting. More excited for the prospect of more nano gadgets like this. Not sure what to submit as a creative entry though.

I dunno the other weeks entries IMO have been a hit or miss (just check the posts on their blog on website or Facebook posts), some good submissions out there, but some were really weird.. I think the first week winner someone came up with a Sphero Wars (Halo Wars parody) and they liked it so he won.

I'd say just come up with an idea for something then post it, you never know if you'll win or not. I didn't think I would win this last week because of all the other cool ideas that were the runners up.. But I guess they liked my presentation for my game idea because it was so detailed, and plus I did a 3d animation as well.

I have some other ideas I was going to post, but I don't think I can win the contest twice lol, so I might just post on their FB page for fun.

Well I finally got my Sphero in the mail earlier this week on Tuesday and it's defiantly a cool gadget to play around with. I can't wait until they come out with more games and apps for it, they even have an Android and iOS SDK out for people to make their own games and apps.

This last week they had a Sphero in the Wild contest and they gave away five Spheros where they wanted users submit a picture of the Sphero outdoors, doing something cool. I didn't see anywhere on the site or the blog post I couldn't win again for since I won previously so I figured I would enter for the hell of it and I won again today! http://www.gosphero.com/sphero-in-the-wild-contest-winners (mine is the one of the Sphero in the cactus)

We'll see if I get the 2nd one or not. It looks like next week they are having another giveaway again, too.
