I just bought a N64 and was wondering what you guys thought were the best games. I know the obvious ones like Mario, Zelda and Goldeneye, but apart from those, I really have no idea what the N64 has to offer.

Harvest Moon 64
Ogre Battle 64
Indianna Jones and the Infernal Machine (i liked it anyway)
Super Smash Brothers
Pokemon Stadium (so Sue me!) :)
Someone has already Mentioned WWF No Mercy. That's off the top of head (and my collection)

Oh man, I didn't realize that was already posted, my bad.

Is Star Fox 64 any good?[/quote]

Its not a big deal. Anyway, I have spoken with some buddies who owned or used to own StarFox ad they said that it is a ton of fun, although they can beat it in 2-3 hours. Whether or not that number was the amount of time it took to beat it the first time through (as opposed to getting good at it and beating it faster) I do not know, but their overall impression was good.

Also, as I am relatively new to the N64 thing, does your control stick seem kinda crappy? I have an official one (used) and the stick just seems to be dying. Is yours like this? I somewhat remember these sticks are not the best in the world.

Depends on how old the controller is...as it ages, the stick grows progressively worse. Unfortunately for you, you've probably gotten one that has a lot of mileage on it, so to speak...

I really don't mean to hijack this thread, but are there any online places that offer good quality n64 controlers that are mint or used? Or is EBay my best bet?

You can try egameuniverse.com. They had lots of 3rd party controllers new and some 1st party ones last summer. Dunno if they are still there though.

2-3 hours? It's easily beatable in 30 mins to an hour, but man, it's prolly my second fav N64 game. I love it. I got it for 6.99 at GS.

Granted it's the same drivel I always post in any "I just got a 64" thread, but the games to look into getting

Forsaken
Wipeout 64
Extreme G 1 or 2
Ridge Racer 64
NBA Hang Time (IMO the best of any of the Jam-type games, across any generation)
Wayne Gretzky's Hockey
WCW Revenge & WCW Mayhem
South Park (Only if you watch the show, else it's pretty forgettable)
F-Zero
Mario Kart
and the rest of the always mentioned games

A couple of games i didn't see mentioned are Blast Corps (IMO rare's best game on the 64) and Anything from the Rush series (I prefer part 2, my friends and I spent hours and hours playing stunt mode and trying to beat each others scores)
