What B&M stores still sell PS1 games?

I've had a hankering to play a FF game and found X and XII to be disappointing, so I thought I'd revisit VIII and try IX again, as well as Tactics. However I have no idea where to get these games.

I would rather not buy them online if possible (even though I know I will probably end up doing this) for various reasons that aren't important here.

Do any stores still sell PS1 games? I am in the Boston area if that matters.

I found one store that sells them but they are pretty much all $80+ so screw that.

Most of the national chains cleared them out awhile ago. So unless you have a local store that still sells them, you're screwed.

You'll be able to find FF VIII, IX & Tactics for less than $80 each, but you'll have to look online to get them for that less than that.

Any retail store that's still selling PS1 games most likely has a crappy selection. I know I've seen some PS1 games at a Toys R Us, but Syphon Filter 3 and something else.

Half Price Books does, if you have one near you. But that is also YMMV. My local Half Price usually has lame stuff, but a few months ago, I picked up a black label copy of Metal Gear Solid and a GH copy of Parasite Eve for $9-10 each. While the copy of Parasite Eve had a crack in the case, it was in good condition otherwise, the copy of Metal Gear Solid was near-mint, and they were both complete with manuals.

But each store can set their own prices, so again, Your Mileage May Vary. But you might get a deal. Just be sure to lookup the ebay/amazon value of something if you aren't sure if they're asking for a reasonable price.

Don't know if there is one nearby, but I ended up getting FF 7 and 8 from EB Games for $10 each a couple months back.

Fry's has a few game, but it's usually all GH and crappy budget titles. I've seen VIII up there a lot in the GH form, sometimes IX. VII is hard to come by though. I got my copy though for $50...back in 1997.

Good luck finding those now. The decent games were probably hoarded by employees when they got shipped off to another GS. That's exactly why each GS I've gone to that still carries them is left with old ass sports games.
