What do you listen to when no one's around?

RedvsBlue

CAGiversary!
Ok you all know that there's one song that you listen to when no one else is around or anything to give you a hard time. Guys especially. Personally for me, lately its been "More to Life" by Staci Orrico, I'm not sure why but anytime I hear that song on the radio I just have to turn it up.

My guilty pleasure is most anything from Justin Timberlakes cd...

And i got that Stacy Orrico cd for my GF, its not that bad.

Ok, I'm normally a Ill Nino, Sevendust, Disturbed, Slayer, all around metal kinda guy, but when no ones around, I'm all over my Enya, Sara Brightman collection.........Their voices are so relaxing.

Justin Timberlakes has some of the best production value around...it makes even the hardest of musicians envious. Somehow he managed to have one the best produced albums athough the style of music is not everyones taste.

Just about anything from oc remix, when noones around... mostly Videogame music, anime, trance, soundtracks. When im around people it's mostly hip hop/metal/techno/rock.

So here's a story from A to Z,
you wanna get with me you gotta listen carefully,
We got Em in the place who likes it in your face,
we got G like MC who likes it on an
Easy V doesn't come for free, she's a real lady,
and as for me you'll see,
Slam your body down and wind it all around
Slam your body down and wind it all around

Whipsmart- I don't think you want to admit that even on an anonymous board. Then again I suppose since I know what song it is that makes me just as bad.

Bingo.

Usually I'm a rock/metal/alternative kind of guy, but when no one's around, I like George Strait. Sometimes I'll take my cowboy hat down from the closet and wear it in front of the mirror holding a brush and performing for myself as if I was George Strait.

glad I don't kno what song that is.My co-worker likes country does that count? and when I leave here{Yea I'm at work on the graveyard, getting ready for a nap 2}I'm trying to raddle the windows outta my car.Right now with Kamakazi{Sp} by Twista.tracks 8,11,and 13 all hit good.

I usually listen to metal (the REAL shit, not this nu-breed pussy crap) like Iron Maiden, Slayer, Judas Priest, Children of Bodom and whatnot but when there's no one around.... my guiltiest pleasures are Toby Keith and Hall and Oates. A bit of Chicago from the 70s too. :)

I listent to geek music. I am a true RPGin' master. I do nothing but jerk off and listent to anime music. Just kidding.

BTW: First guy, Stacie Orrico pwns. I listen to hear all the time.

I listen to anything I want to around anyone, I seriously have no problem telling people what I am listening to in my Walkman or whatever.

I listen mostly to nu-metal like

MuDvAyNe, SlipKnoT, KoRn, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, etc.

Captin and Tenille... no seriously, really... I own multiple records of theirs, with such fabulous hits as Muskrat Love and Love Will Keep Us Together.

I didn't know what this song was but behold the power of the internet, and I quickly found out that it was the Spice Girls and it really puts WhipSmartBanky and RedvsBlue into a whole new light. Ya know that kind of light that burns through your retinas until you want to rip your eyeballs out and walk around with the blood streaming from your empty sockets.

i listen to almost everything except country, i absolutely cannot stand old guys yodeling. but when no ones around... probably JT.

anyone have that one type of music they hate, but cant turn off? no? oh well mines disco. I LOATHE disco. but if it comes on, i just start to dance. i know that sounds gay, especially coming from someone who listens to rammstein and rob zombie, but disco makes me dance. it really sucks and is kinda embarrising to be walking down the street and suddenly dancing just because i hear disco.

my life, the fricking musical.

i lissen to the spice girls when people are around, i actully turn it up really loud in the car with the windows down

I should say I don't listen to the Spice Girls I just remember them from "back in the day".
On another note, I broke down today and bought Staci Orrico's CD. I'm glad none of you know me in real life cause I know I'd get crap about this.

My guilty pleasure just HAS to be that Chingy song, "One Call Away." I normally never ever listen to rap, and say i hate it and all, but when no body is around, BAM! it's on, non stop.

I am all over the board. I like Rap/R&B a lot R Kelly, Isley Borthers..

Then I go to some of the older stuff Like Nirvana, etc..all the way to Zombie, Powerman5000, Ozzie.

Then back to some old school Like Ton Loc, Young MC, etc... I actuall just saw them both in concert in Saginaw Michigan on Jan 10th, They were along with C&C Music factory (Freedom Williams) and Blessed Union of Souls, Firehouse.. Great Concert in my opinion..

Anyway then on to a few soundtracks like Silent Hill 3 I actually like this cd...

All the way to some BK music...The streets "Pirate Material" Not a bad Cd actually...

And your all going to laugh but the recent few albums dropped by Rob Van Winkle  are actually really good..Seriously.
I should say I don't listen to the Spice Girls unless its a day that ends in "y" and then I crank them hunnies up!!! w00t for the SPICE GIRLS!!
Well, you got to appreciate his conviction.....

Spice Girls? Captain & Tenille? Disco? Good choices but I prefer to put on my Animaniacs or Space Ghost CDs. I love my cartoon soundtracks. The Brak Album rules!

In recent days I've started listening to that damn Evenescense song, the slow one. I absolutly hate that band, but something about that song makes me listen to it every time. It's really, really embarassing though. Even my mom laughed at me. No lie.

Oh yeah, this thread is SO coming back from the dead. Defender rocking out to Justin Timberlake? Punq blaring Spice Girls? Yeah.. this needs to be bumped.. bad.

I enjoy Norah Jones.. she puts me to sleep.. Coldplay is nothing to be embarassed about.. John Mayer is alright in some songs, "Covered in Rain" is awesome.. Damien Rice is great.. what else.. umm.. I like one Mandy Moore song from back in the day, only because it holds a personal meaning to me.. ooh, I know, this is the most embarassing thing ever.. John Tesh's winter CD! You guys can laugh all you want, but i'm out by track 3 every time.

and you have succeeded in reviving the thread scorch.

but i'll admit it, when no one is around, i listen to:

*GASP* Good Charlette *GASP*

its too late/early to worry about correct spelling

same here, but im not afraid to listen to anything in front of my friends, whether they're old/young, male/female, black/white, etc....one minute ill be listening to eminem, then slipknot, then elton john, then jewel, then marilyn manson, then g-dep, etc.........i just can't stand country though

"Toxic" by Britany Spears. I hate her, yet the song is just too catchy.
Agreed, dammmit. :)
Agreed as well. It's something about those crazy-ass strings. And me picturing her in the video...

Anyway, when I'm on my own and I can listen to anything I want without people bitching, (i.e. my wife), I listen to old school hip-hop like A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, and early 90s Beastie Boys.
I listen to Thrill Kill Kult alone.

My friends just wouldn't understand.
I stopped trying to get my friends into Primus and Bjork a long time ago.

let me preface this by saying my wife and I used share one Ipod, when I finally got her, her own, I removed all of her songs, excpet for the Pet Shop Boys Greatest Hits

what have I, what have I, what have I done to deserve this?

I didn't read everyone's replies, but if you haven't listened to it yet, freezepop is the bomb. They had a song in both frequency and amplitude.. They have alot of good songs, you can get it from whereever you get your music from or buy it/listen to it at www.freezepop.com
Dido
Dido freaking rules.

Anyway for me it has to be the Backstreet Boys Greatest Hits - there's not a bad song in the bunch! If you don't like "The Call" you are a liar!!!!

Maybe you could listen to those when she was around if you threw a little Queen Latifah or Salt-N-Pepa in the mix.

In any case, I sometimes break out the industrial music of my teens. Most of it was crap, but Blood Meridian by Numb is still a good album, just specacularly noisy.

That, and the "stop remix" of You Drive Me Crazy is pretty cool..
