What game will you never forget!?

ff7.......i bought the soundtrack and renuion tracks and put those in the CD player and zone out for hours. my gf thinks im weird. i will get the ct soundtrack soon

Super Mario Bros. - First game I ever owned on NES.
Contra - I played the game last week, beat it without dying (It was WAY harder when I was 6). I still love it.
Doom - Doom 3 sucks. It's all about the first one.
Mega Man X - I've beaten this one like 12 times. Sad.
Chrono Trigger - I think I have about 200 hours total on this fucking thing.
Final Fantasy 7 - "I never lived up to being Cloud." I nearly cried.
A lot of other great ones, too...

I would have to say Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!
I was the first person in my school to beat Mike and I spent so many days and nights playing that game.

The Legend of Zelda and Super Metroid. I have beaten those games so many times, but it is still just as fun to play again

Hmm, I've played so many games over the years it is hard to choose!

As a child, I would say Super Mario Bros, Zelda, Metroid, Castlevania and Faxanadu.

As a teenager, the Phantasy Star Series and Altered Beast.

As an adult, I'd have to say for online game: Phantasy Star Online, and for offline, Panzer Dragoon Saga. And favorite "new" 2-D game, Castlevania Symphony of the Night.

I have many, many games I'll never forget but the one that probably is the most notable to me and is my all time favorite is Final Fantasy II (4 in Japan). That game was the first RPG I ever played and I've played it through tons and tons of times. Plus, this game was the downfall of me being a Straight A student back in school  .

Honorable mention goes to Resident Evil 2 because I walked someone through the entire game over the phone without once having to look at any guides or screens.

Most notably:
LoZ: OoT
FF VII & FFT (Cuz I beat them both for the first time 2 years ago in the same week @ college. I don't think I went to class that week).
Beyond Good & Evil

Too many to mention...I'll stop there.

Super Mario Bros. -NES
The LoZ: Majora's Mask -N64
Super Mario 64 -N64
Banjo-Kazooie -N64
Animal Crossing - GCN
The LoZ: The Wind Waker -GCN
Metroid Prime -GCN

=Chrono Trigger
=Secret of Mana
=Rocket Jockey (PC) - *I bet nobody rememebers this one.
=Sonic Adventure (the first time I played it and realized that my favorite hedgehog is 3D for real now!)
=TMNT - The Arcade Game
=Legend of Kage (Sorry, first nintendo game I ever played, rented Elevator Action that night too...and then watched some Living Color and some COPS.)

megaman x- one of my favorite games ever
mario rpg- one of the best rpgs I ever played
secret of mana 2 i.e. sekien dentisu 3 (close enough)- probably the best snes rpg I ever played
super smash bros melee- because I am godlike in said game
robin hood defender of the crown- how can i ever forget such a horrible fucking game
goldeneye 007- need I say more

Final Fantasy 2 - the opera scene....
Mega Man 2 - the best of the original Mega Man's IMHO
Altered Beast - it came with my Genesis and completed it so many times (though that can be done by anyone)
Super Contra (SNES) - still the best Contra to date (Shattered Soldier is close though)
Resident Evil 2 - man what an experience. The intro alone blew me away. This is one of my more memorable ones for the mere fact that my friend and I watied over 6 hours for EB to get it. They told everyone to come in at 3 pm and they would have it. Well 6 hours later it arrived. I remember the huge crowd was there. They were trying to calm us down with cookies (yeah sugar calms you down..). They finally gave us $5 off the price.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night/Nocturne in the Moonlight - completed both domestic and import release. My favorite game of all time.
Doom 3 - one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had so far. Still have not finished it yet but what I have seen and played is amazing.

BMX Airmaster-Atari
E.T. -Atari
Bubble Bobble - NES
Milons Secret Castle - NES
Mario 64 - N64

the amount of fun and pure joy i had playing Mario 64 has not been repeated since.

Let's see....

Super Mario Bros. (NES)- first game I ever played
Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis)- The first game I ever owned
Doom (PC)- my first FPS, showed me how cool it was to blow stuff up
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)- showed how epic a game can actually be
Goldeneye 007 (N64)- this was the first big multiplayer game I had played
Final Fantasy 7- Probably the most memorable of them all, it was my first RPG, and introduced me to the genre that I love

I gotta go with the original Legend of Zelda.. when I played it on the compilation disc after not playing it for 10+ years and still remembered not only where all the dungeons were, but also the locations of all the hidden shops, the master sword and the majority of the +100 rupee bushes.. I'd say that's a game I'll never forget.

There's a lot of good games I could list here, but the most disturbing game I ever played(and wish I could foget)was D2. So freaking weird....

There's quite a few, ranging from Super Mario Bros. 3 to Sonic 3 and Knuckles (just my favorite out of that series). The original Zelda and a Link to the Past also. My most memorable is probably Final Fantasy 7, it was the first one I played and it got me hooked on the series.

Contra would be it for me. I still remember beating that game in one sitting without dying over and over and over and over......it was so fun!

I wish I still had it!

OK, going way old school here. I'll never forget hearing my Apple ][ speak to me in German in Castle Wolfenstein.

I would have to say Dragon Warrior (yes the first one). It was my first cheap ass game (got it for $2 new) and my very first RPG. I played it for 3 minutes, put it on a shelf cause I found it boring and didn't play it for several months. Got bored, pulled it out, and have been hooked on RPG's ever since.
