What games do you have reserved!

batman2million

CAGiversary!
I only reserved Halo 2... but I'm just gonna order all the other games (Resident Evil 4, Metroid, MGS) online. Don't have to wait in line and all that stuff. Novembers gonna b one crzy azz month

I might reserve Fable and Halo 2 but I don't really see the point of reserving a game unless they give you something free.

same here, i should get something out of a preorder.
so i still don't have halo2 CE reserved yet. i will once it gets closer, i just want something for free. and the CE isn't free it's an extra 5 bucks.

I am still debating about reserving halo 2. I guess there could be a shortage, but I doubt it. I doubt that they would need to put it on sale for quite some time, as the demand will be so high. All of my coworkers (a bunch of chemists, we range in age between 26-35) who are into this sort of thing reserved many months ago, and at least a few are planning to take the day off to play. I have enough vacation time that I could take the day off to play, but it would look suspicious if too many of us were gone at once. I'm sure that my boss would give me some crap over this, too (although he is a hardcore civ fan so really can't talk). hmmm...decisions, decisions.

a nintendo DS, 2 copies of halo collectors edition, everquest 2 collectors edition, pokemon leafgreen, and half life 2 :D
I only have street fighter ann. reserved and paid for...
Ya, because that will sell through the roof...

On a related note, I don't have anything preordered and haven't in well over a year.

I'll probably do Halo 2 if the CE is still available by the time I care to preorder, otherwise, I won't bother.

Halo 2 (because of the eb trade-in deal)
Pikmin 2 . . . I loved the first . . . I love strat games but don't have the time for them (Starcraft etc.) Pikmin is a perfect balance between action and strategy.

I reserved Halo 2 CE yesterday to make sure I got a copy of the CE and I reserved Fable for the bonus disc which I haven't even messed around with yet. Everything else I'll wait on unless they offer some kind of freebie which sparks my interest.

Unless you get some sort of cool trinket, shirt, $$$ off... why preorder? 99% of the places are pre-order at regular price and get... nothing for your problems... I don't get it.

lmao, i dont pre order for the freebies, i get those for free from the managers at the local EB, i dont like having 5 bucks on hold for games i dont want :p

Right now I have Pokemon Leafgreen and World of Warcraft Collectors edition both reserved.

Well... if your getting them for free then you do want them right? Or you would not be taking them... ??? $5 deposit for a free shirt, cap, art book is not a bad deal...

Why do you preorder if not for the freebies? To let the company hold your $50 for 3 months? ;)

none I dont buy games when they first come Gta and halo are exceptions because the will be on sale in like 2 weeks. I dont reseerve anymore bad experinces

I usually reserve because I know how horrible stores can be with getting a game in stock. I work at EB and we got enough Tales of Symphonia to cover the preorders, and 2 extras. Since it was released they have only sent us 3 more copies. I'm happy I preordered mine.

Benefits of preordering-
-Money already towards game so I won't waste it on other things.
-Even if it's a limited run game, I'm guaranteed a copy
-Occasional freebies

Anyhow I can understand why people don't preorder, but it really sucks when they come in and the game is sold out and I get the blame :(

Halo 2 Collector's Edition (x2), Pikmin 2, Fable, all paid in full, mostly trade in deals. I have also ordered Gungrave OD, but that doesn't get charged until it ships, and I may cancel.

I only preorder if I'm positive I'm going to buy the game when it comes out, and that I really just can't wait for it. If there's one thing this site has taught me, it's that you never have to pay full price for a game.

Games i might preorder:

Halo2 CE(to be sure to get the CE)
Ys VI ark of napishtim(i anticipate some sort of bonus for this tho)
Maybe fable(for the bonus) or san andreas(if they offer me some free swag)

Just Halo 2 CE right now. No need for preordering? My eb has been known to let some new releases out before the street date! :)

I have nothing reserved right now and I really don't forsee myself preordering anything anytime soon.

The only times that I really feel a preorder is necessary is if you get something amazingly cool for it (IE: The Zelda OOT bonus disc) or if its a game that is not a big name game, and may only be sold at game stores.

In that sense, the only game I'm considering preordering now is Guilty Gear Isuka. I'm kinda worried that stores like BB and CC might not carry it (though they did have GGX2.....) and plus I want it the INSTANT is it available ;)

Last time I preordered a game was when Activision gave away so much crap with a purchase of True Crime. For my 50 dollars I got the game, free shipping, free sampler CD, free t-shirt and a mail-in rebate for 10 dollars (which I used to buy Enclave for a whole 2.99 shipped to me brand new)

Halo 2 CE and Fable. Only preordered because of the deal I got, total came out to $87.58 shipped. Downside is my credit card is charged now. Maybe it'll seem like some kind of crazy ass present from myself once these finally come out.

Shadow Hearts: Covenant
Star Ocean 3
Growlanser Generations (regular edition, no fucking way am I paying $90 for the crap WD packs in)
Phantom Brave
Shin Megami Tensei

Will reserve soon:
Chulip
Wild Arms Alter Code F
Digital Devil Saga
Suikoden IV (ONLY IF AN OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE IS ANNOUNCED, I highly doubt it will be out in November)

I preordered Halo 2 last October, and my Gamespot told me that I would automatically be getting the Limited Edition because I preordered so early, which is good. Earler this week I put $20 more down on it, so I have a total of $25 down on Halo 2. When I get my next paycheck I will put the rest down on it so I dont spend that money on something else.

I usually hate pre-ordering games, I've only pre-ordered a couple in my entire life, but that being said I currently hve 3 games on pre-order. Chulip and Katamari Damashi because I imagine it will be really hard to find a copy if you don't pre-order and they were cheap. I also have that Lord of the Rings RTS game pre-ordered from amazon when they screwed up and were selling it for 19.99.

I'd like to pre-order San Andreas, but until some store offers some goodies, I'll just wait until release to pick it up from BB with the GGC.

It's good to see all of you who reserve and pay full price for games! Support those companies!

I only buy Blizzard games at full price- hell I waited until Diablo (not Diablo 2, but the original Diablo released back in 1996) got down to $10 before I bought it.

I didn't reserve GTA: vice city and i spent 3 hours that day driving, calling, and fighting before i actually found it. When I went to gamestop..they got like...thousands of copies behind them saying..."thats only for reservations." thn i went to best buy and i saw that some lil kid had the last copy and luckly he put the game down to tie his shoe so i took it. I dunno what happen to the kid afta that..but i got that game..now it would of helped if i just RESERVED IT!...i wouldn't have a kid crying! So there is a point to reserving
