What games should be remade to take advantage of the DS paddle controller?

I can't even think of many games that would use it. I can only think of two, one I like and one that's kind of meh:

Gyruss (arcade)

I'd thought of Warlords, but had forgotton about Gyruss. An updated Warlords DS with Wi-Fi multiplayer would be pretty cool. Good suggestions.

Here's a more obscure Atari arcade game that I used to enjoy:

Major Havoc (arcade)

I would absolutely positively buy a Warlords update with internet and local download-play multiplayer. Even a pretty direct port of the (perhaps rare?) arcade version would be awesome. I remember the graphics in that version being pretty good, certainly way better than the Atari version. What I wouldn't want to see is some abomination involving screen scrolling. Make the game fit entirely on the screen, I don't care how small they have to make the sprites.

Major Havoc would be cool too. Since all these games are pretty simple, it ought to be a collection. Gyrus, Tempest, Tempest 2000/X3 (though it never used a paddle as far as I know, it would certainly be better with one), and Warlords w/wifi. I'd buy it!

EDIT: I hadn't known that Tempest 2000 was ported to the PS1. I'm going to have to try pick that up. I loved the Jaguar version back when I had a Jaguar. Indeed it was probably the only game to love on the Jaguar....

rwilloug, you RULE! Major Havoc was one of my favorite oldskool arcade games back in the day. Hardly anyone remembers that game.
Maybe something like Asteroids using the paddle for rotation and the DS buttons for accelerate and fire.
Oh man, thanks option.iv! You just reminded me of one of my favorite old paddle-based arcade games I'd forgotten.

Blasteroids (arcade) by Atari

Other than Gyruss, this list is shaping up to be an Atari paddle game collection. We need to start a petition... ;)
I agree with the purpose of this thread, however, let's try and get the damn paddle over here first :bomb:
Since I imported my paddle a while back, I keep forgetting that most people in the US don't have access to one. I'd love to see Squeenix release it over here, just so more people could have them and more paddle games would be possible.

BTW, for those of you still looking for one, here's a link to where I got mine. They've still got white, black, and pink ones in stock.

How about racing games where the controller can act as a small steering wheel?

I would be happy just to see the controller available in local stores! :)
