So, I sold some stuff on ebay and am looking to pick up a DS...

I'm cool with buying used, so long as it's basically in new condition... I don't want any screen scratches and whatnot.

What do you all suggest?

I'd buy new if the price were good, but I assume I'll save some money buying used.

Also, are there rumors of a better version of the DS coming out anytime soon? With the GBA, I ordered my afterburner kit and literally the next day Nintendo announced the SP.

I think they're like $99 at EB/GS. Really, scratches (or at least scuffs) are unavoidable on the touch screen, regardless off how careful you are. If you've got the cash, I'd recommened getting a new one for $30 more.

well, I was able to pull off the Target pricematch so I picked up a metallic blue for $99.... very happy with it. If I'd put more time into one before I'd probably have bought this much earlier.

Cool. Welcome aboard... you're really going to enjoy the DS. It's starting to come into its own now with the Wi-fi Connection and 3rd party developers getting the hang of the concept.
