What's so hard about telling apart a 20GB from a 60GB?

I've now run into 3 people who couldn't tell the difference. They're supposedly selling 60GB hard drives but you go to check in the system settings and there's a big old 13.9 GB. So much for the Wii being the casual gamer console. Atleast the typical Wii owner doesn't get involved with anything beyond waving their arm around.

That's what I'm getting at. So many people for the past month or so on CL have been trying to sell 20GB as 60GB.

I think the OP is talking about Xbox 360, not PS3. The PS3 shows the free space in terms of MB not GB, so therefore wouldn't display 13.9 GB.

Both of mine show in GB, maybe when they get down to a certian amount it shows in MB.

The OP couldn't be talking about 360 HDDs. Why go into System Settings to see the size, when you can just look at the top of the system?

One has memory card slots. The other doesn't.
One has wireless internet. The other doesn't.
They can both play PS2 games.

I agree. The OP is most likely talking about the 360, but then mentions the Wii as if he's talking about that, and then the rest of the people in the thread are talking about the PS3. I'm confused as .

If it's systems you're talking about, the 60gb will have an HDMI port. The 20gb did not. As for bare drives, I don't know if there is any way to distinguish them externally. Honestly, though, I've been using my 20gb for over 3 years and still have over 13gb of free space because I delete stuff when I don't need it anymore. :shock:
