what's the deal with mario party?

Why is mario party so expensive everywhere? I rented this once and it was one of the few games I could actually get my wife to play with me. But I can't find it anywhere for less than $30. (the game cube mario party's 4-7) Come on, this game is several years old, and there's multipule versions of it's out. Why the high prices?

Nintendo games retain value well

Maybe it's Nintendo realizing that the newer games aren't really better than the old games so they keep the supply low so the older games stay high in price so people don't buy them cheap over the newer games.

Your best bet is probably E-bay (or someone here possibly). I got Mario Party 6 off of E-bay for under $30 less than a year after it came out, at the time 4 and 5 were both available for around $20.

Check Circuit City, they have MP6 for $17, it will be difficult to find though

well if you had the only game on your system, wouldnt you keep the price high to rake in the dough? look at rez (before the reprint), you couldnt find that for under $50 retail

If so that's probably one reason. Another is you might not be looking hard enough, I've seen all the GC Mario Parties for $20 even the newer ones WITH the Microphone. More often at EB or Gamestop. But I've also seen them in Best Buy, Wal-Mart and K-Mart. Problem is though, they usually sell out quick when they get that cheap.

Keep looking you'll find it eventually.
