What's the hold up on 65nm

supposed to come in fall...I would imagine they probably had a surplus of the older chips, along with the channel stuffing they did, which is preventing the need for the new smaller chip units to be shipped...I am pretty sure they said they went into production with the smaller chips in june, and it would arrive in stores this fall

Fun fact that problem with smaller items is lubricating them. As technology moves ahead. Lubricate manufactures have to find ways to lube the new items that are smaller. And yes the tiny cpu have lube between all the parts.

Did they ever actually announce this or was it just a hoax.[/QUOTE]

not properly configured for planned obsolescence yet.

Interesting. I didn't know that. I am in the lube research business myself.

Awwww skee skeet skeet skeet.

Even if it was in the works they wouldn't announce it until either the last possible moment or not at all until they were sure no remaning 90nm systems were on the shelves.

Sales of current 360's would effectively tank in anticipation. Planned properly, it's a manageable situation, though.
