CAGiversary!
I currently got a 295 card, a i7 920, evga classified mobo and about 6 gigs of ram

im thinking of upgrading to a 670 2gb ftw and maybe buying a ram kit to get my ram to about 12 gigs. just wondering what kind of bost might i see. my current system is showings its age though, i'm like scared to add textures to 720p skyrim because that might make me lag and junk. had to do guildwars at 720p too.

long term plan of course is to get a sandybridge and transfer some of my old current stuff into a 2nd build. 2 pcs will be nice for a lot of reasons hehe.:)

I bought a EVGA GTX670 for my new build, 12 gigs of ram, i2500k and ASRock mobo P67 Extreme4 Gen4. I was running GTX260 and AMD Duo Core2 @ 2.6.

I'm currently running Bordlerands 2, everything on High, PhysX on High, uncapped frame rate @ 1920x1080 resolution. Haven't had a hiccup yet.

Guildwars 2 I run everything on high and there are usually no hiccups, however when I alt+tab in and out of game, and moving the camera there's a bit of slowdown, but it quickly catches up, also I think it has to do with the GW2 itself. Bang for your buck, I would go with GTX670, which is why I did, it's a lot better than the 660, without the price of the 680 or higher from what I've read.

VGA EVGA|02G-P4-2678-KR GTX 670 RT - $400

yeah i was considering the 680s and ati cards but those thigns are liek 550$ and seem only 5% better.

found this website which looks pretty cool lol http://www.hwcompare.com/12561/geforce-gtx-295-vs-geforce-gtx-670/

the big thing that stands out is the engery consumption as my pc currently does eat a little more power than i like. i actually need to get a lower watt psu eventually because 2 years ago i made the mistake of getting a 1k watt psu lol.

might do a little research on how ati does power wise actually and get the one thats most engery efficient :)

I'm using the EVGA GTX570 and it works most games fine. I wouldn't notice much of a difference.

You on the otherhand, 295 -> 670......I'd do it.
