Whats your zombie plan?

PlumesPixie

CAGiversary!
So anyone who knows me, knows that I am obsessed with and CONVINCED that zombies are not only real, but they ARE coming and there WILL be a take over.

I have read the zombie survival guide and I DO have several zombie plans.

So, what I wanna know is,

What's yours?

PP

PS my zombie plan pre-dates the whole Red vs Blue thing.

Ok but where are you going? Do you have supplies? (I seriously have supplies stock piled.... It borders on mental illness).

Sword is good, but what about fatigue? You can't fight 24/7, you need a home base...

I'm gonna build an underwater city where every one can have the ability to spit fire, electricity, and ice out of their hands, at a cost though, possibly the cost of others lives. Anyways I don't think zombies can swim to begin with, so my underwater city will be safe from zombies.

Zombies would likely be wondering around the ocean floor or lake bed, so there'd still be some risk there.

That's hardly realistic...

And zombies can't swim, but they CAN walk under water, as they don't need to breathe, and won't have boyancy.

I don't think people realize that I am SERIOUS about this...

I believe zombies will happen. Closer to resident evil style than to anything biblical. Our goverenment will have some contagion that gets out and fuck shit up.
I already know what my plan is.

It is to run faster than my wife.
I don't know if you're referring to 28 Weeks Later or what. :D

how do you know zombies won't float? I highly doubt they can just walk on the bottom of the ocean.

You realize that even if there was some Resident Evil-style contagion that turned people into Zombies they'd still require working brains/hearts and would still have to breathe. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to move. They'd just be drones perhaps, but you can't create a virus that defies physics/chemistry/biology.

Thank you! Finally someone using LOGIC!!!

I am SERIOUS about this topic. I hold it close to my heart and I have notebooks full of plans and contingioncies. (It really is a mental illness...) I DO lay awake at night worring about this.

My biggest thing is how am I gonna keep Lennon (my 4 year) safe? Will I have to sacrifice him to save myself? That would suck.

DoK, no reference, just me being honest.

The first time Pixie asked me this a long time ago, that was my response.

All that is required for muscle movement is electrical activity. Oxygen isn't actually required.

That's why dead bodies move for HOURS after they have stopped breathing... You DON"T need anything but a spinal collum to move. Its an ELECTRICAL system.

If someone is dead and you provide electricity to the muscles, you CAN make their muscles move.

Look at what I posted a few posts down. Oxygen isn't a requirement for movement... only electricity.
Don't forget those red herbs to combine.

The yellow ones also help maximize your overall health. ^______^
You forgot mixing orange juice with a pie. That should give you a speed shake or something...

For random muscle movement, sure. But for coordinated movement you need a brain. You'd also need oxygen to muscles to keep them alive, otherwise they will decay and no longer function along with any organs, etc.

So if it's dead bodies twitching on the floor that you're afraid of perhaps you have a point, but otherwise you're outside of reality.

I still want your explanation on why zombies can walk under water like Link with his metal boots.

The fact that we "float" (boyancy) is caused by the oxygen in our lungs and cells. If we didn't have that, we would sink.

The only reason dead bodies float is due to the gasses they release as they decompose.

Zombies won't breath or decompose normally, so they won't be boyant (or "float")

They will be - pardon the pun - "dead weight".

She said zombies dont need to breathe, so they wouldn't float.

I wish metal boots would make me walk underwater.

A++ for the thread. :]

A virus that causes a slowing in decomp and/or accesses "muscle memory" may someday be a reality.

I know zombies haven't happened YET, but I believe they COULD. An electro-chemical agent COULD in theory cause "zombie like" conditions, provided the decomp was slowed...
Fine I'll build a floating city, or move to that one they are building of the coast of Japan somewhere.
See, NOW you are thinking!

AND, the sea can provide a continuious food source!

GREAT IDEA!
I bet you could get Juggerbit to smash some zombies.

:shock:mad:ryles.

What'choo tal'm bout, cracka?
Sadly, zombies are the only thing he is afraid of. But, he could probably kick some undead ass...

Weighted boots could help... they have them for divers. You just have to have enough oxygen and a quick release thing, so you don't get stuck down there!

I'm trying to find the article on it, seen it on TLC a while ago.

He gets it from his momma... zombies and parasitic bugs/worms are my only fears.

Noir, maybe if they were WOMEN zombies, he'd kick/shoot 'em.

I think I'd just jump into the horde of zombies, the chance of survival would be pretty slim considering it could happen at ANY time. Right now I'm sitting here in shorts and shoes with headphones on, for all I know a zombie could be walking around in my living room and when I get up to grab a Juicy Juice box, I'll get ripped up by what I thought was Melissa, my friendly neighbor. :[

You can slow decomp, but you need something to coordinate muscle movements to make anything like a zombie. Not only would there have to be some kind of source of electricity (if they could eat and digest things then that could be the source, but that would require at least lower-level brain function), there would have to be something to relay it to the limbs in a coordinated fashion in order to do anything but twitch.

The spinal column can control movements and basic reactions (so if you hit a Zombie's knee at the tendon it would kick), but not anything complex like walking. Not only do you have to control the legs in a rhythmic fashion you have to be able to balance your body and both of those require a functioning brain.

OMG!!! ITS THE PERFECT PLACE TO GET AWAY FROM THE ZOMBIES!!!

Now I have to revise some of my plans... even the uncompleted city would work in a siege type situation. Which is what zombie attacks will esentially be...

You are my new hero for letting me in on this!

I WILL survive the outbreak!!!

Like I said, an electro-chemical agent that could allow brainstem and lower level functioning could be synthisized.

Muscle memory is also something to take into consideration. You body muscles would on some level "know" how to walk. (Muscle memory is a complicated thing, and we don't fully understand it yet).

Zombies (of course) won't be like in the movies. That's my point, we NEVER KNOW!!!

It pays to be prepared though!
Looks like ryles is sleeping in spot of Noir tonight.
Heh...that was the whole reason I had surgery, was so I could sleep in my own bed again.

Ryles, she did say that you'd get my 3 1/3 now.

I guess I should have taken her fears more seriously...
I'll be Leon and you can be Ada, my zombie fighting mistress.
Only if I can wear a leather catsuit. Sexy, but still provides light armor... see... always thinking!

PP

I think I already HAVE a vinyl catsuit... and god knows I have a TON of leather clothes...

In fact it was a pair of leather pants that is responsible for me and plume getting together. He complimented my ass in the leather pants and the rest is history!
