One thing every CAG needs- a friend (or in my case, a sister's fiance) who works in the donations part of a thift store. There's nothing quite like first cracks at what comes in! :D

Anyway, I got a super-nice finding today- an almost-new Dreamcast keyboard! The box itself is torn, but the keyboard's never been used- it's still in its orginial protective wrap, and even came with a letter from AT&T! :)

So, I am now officially on the hunt for the one thing I want that keyboard for- Typing of the Dead! If anyone has a spare to sell, or knows where I can get one, would you do me a favor and PM me? I'd appreciate it!
He's looking for a the dreamcast game Typing of the Dead, hence the request forum post.
Got the PM (Thanks a bunch for that!), and I'm currently debating on whether to buy it now or try the Toys R Us....

By the by, in case the 'duelladys' name wasn't enough of a hint, I am indeed a female. (Considering the forum tho', I can certainly understand the mistake!)
It's not that great, they are only $6 (used) at EB.

EDIT: I meant the keyboard for free.
True, but free is always good!

Besides, he (unfortunately) plays games too, which means he knows better than to give away things the like the factory-sealed copy of the Legend of Zelda (although is the NES classics print, so it could better...)

Yeah free is good, but you just seemed really excited. Good luck with typing of the dead.

Well, I am! I played this at NWGCE2K4 and really liked it. I was a bit worried about how easy it would be to track down the game and the keyboard now that I've got the dreamcast, especially considering the dealers in my area that carry DC are... not always honest about pricing. (Secret of Mana, loose- $40. Soul Hunter DVD boxset, used- $100. trade-in value of a top-loading NES- $5. See?)

But here I am, haflway there with no effort at all! :D

When I found a DC keyboard at my local EB Games for $2.99, I went to the Amazon.com Marketplace to buy my copy of Typing of the Dead. You can get it there for $3 plus shipping, which should be $2.49, for a total around $5.50.

Cheap Ass Link

They came out with ToTD on PC too...
I have it and not only is it really entertaining, but its a suprisingly good typing tutor...

man i love typing of the dead, i have it for my laptop and for my dreamcast, pick it up asap, im sure you can find it cheap at TRU even ebay its dirt cheap if you can find a good shipping price

TOTD is one of the few games I can get the spousal unit to play with me. Strangely enough, I've been beating her recently. (That never used to happen.) :?

My TRU is short on older games, and I couldn't remember seeing any DC last time I was there, so I went ahead and nabbed one from Ebay early this morning. (Damn sudden insomnia...) Thanks to everyone who helped/offer to help me out!!! :D
