When Flash Mobs Attack!

When the hell did this stuff go from a bunch of people dancing (badly) to people stealing shit?

Apparently there were a bunch of youth centers closed down in Philly and kids have been organizing lootings on FB. Obviously, they're not related though.;)

And by bunch, I mean 50+ kids at once.

I agree with a lot that was said on the video. Stupid kids these days think, "Oh I'm not 18 so I can't go to jail....they can't arrest me..."

What they don't realize that this "one time thing" can really screw them up for life.[/QUOTE]

Yep. Especially since every state has ways to try juveniles as adults, and some states have even lowered the age of automatically being tried as an adult to 17 or even 16.

Yea it depends on the crime... sure they are going to throw the book at some punk kid who kills another person, but with this stupid shit most of the time it's probation and community service and that's it...a slap on the wrist.

I read somewhere that they can hold you in Juvenile hall until your 18 then throw your ass into the big house.

Bet you one person from the crowd is going to come forward and confess.

Yeah, for the looting they aren't going to get tried as adults unless they already have long juvie records.

But some of the flashmobs in Philly were just beating the shit out of people. If any of those were serious enough to bring about felony aggravated assault charges, then those can go to adult court probably depending on what PA law is. A lot of states any violent felony is automatic waiver to adult court for kids over 16 (or whatever age cutoff).

You just reminded me that Philly has had problems like this for a while. About 3 years ago, there was a roaming gang of kids that would target people around the Drexel campus. Especially ones with white headphones...lolz.

flash mob is the new cruising without wheels generation. too poor, dumb, and lazy to work...so why don't we use facebook and twitter to riot?! and like OP ITDEFX said, idiots #u@k!ng up their futures and background checks...rightfully so.

cost us taxpayers more shortfalls. drop ship all these idiots on shark infested islands, and let them fight it out to the death.
