When will PSN purchased games work on the Vita?

Is there any news on if this will ever be implemented to where PSN purchased games will work? I'm referring to FF7,8,and 9 that I own and can play on my PSP. However to my knowledge they do not work yet on the Vita. It's the only reason I am still holding on to the PSP.

There have been no updates on when PS1 games will work on the vita. PSN games and PS1 games downloaded from the PSN are different. A PSN game is Super Stardust Delta, which works on Vita.

With e3 coming in the next couple of months, I'd imagine that Sony will hold back any announcements for e3. So, I'd wait for June 5th or 6th.
