I actually found out the game is happening while at Target. I was passing by the magazine section, when I saw the new September GamePro, with Alice sitting pretty on the cover. There was a pretty big section for the game, which is impressive in it's own right, but even moreso when you consider the issue seemed very thin. Not sure if Gamepro just downsized their print mag, or it was just a slow news time...Anyway, I didn't pick it up due to lack of funds, but I should get it later in the week.
There is a interview on Wired.com, with American McGee and RJ Berg (story writer) that discusses a bit of the game.
We also have an interview over at G4 and another one in video form at Gamespot!

Coming back now to the story in Madness Returns, we’re once again focused on these things: really good story, solid third-person platforming gameplay, adventure, action, exploration and puzzle solving.
We are trying to seek common horror — not that it’s simple or expected, but instead of being that in-your-face cliché horror, we’re trying to go for a much more psychological, deep, disturbing horror.
