Where to buy manuals/cases for retro games.

Besides ebay, and besides brea soft, where can I find game cases/inserts for old games without them costing more then the game itself. (Specifically trying to find the box/manual for .Hack Part 3 Outbreak, and besides paying a ridiculous amount for a CIB on ebay, when I already have the game+dvd, there seems no place to find one! Also Brea soft does not have, and half their sites broken).

The only good way to do this is to either wait for a case/manual to appear on eBay or bite the bullet and order a CIB copy. After you buy a CIB copy, you can always sell your disc only one to recoup some of the costs.

BRE gets new stuff every now and then, but cases for rare games sell fast.

With all the rental stores closing, I don't think Bre is going to be a viable alternative anymore. It seems like they haven't been getting many "like new" cases or manuals in ages. And they've been out of official PS2/PS3 and GC cases for months now. Even their used stuff has seen a huge decline in quality... in the past, their used boxes and cases were usually in very good to near mint condition but the last time I ordered a used box/manual (Fire Emblem Path of Radiance), I got a ripped up manual and the case insert was water damaged. I could have returned it but I'd pay for return costs and they don't refund shipping charges so I've learned my lesson about their used items.

I've never found any good alternatives to getting replacement cases/manuals other than eBay and Bresoftware though.

There was a member on here by the name of postronix who had lots of cases and manuals for reasonable prices, though I don't know if he is active on here anymore as I was trying to work out a large order back in January when he stopped responding.

yea, that dood is no good (as far as deals go). he backed out on buying a lot of current gen cases from me around that time.

Check craigslist, never no what you might find. Ebay is good as others have said, though can be pricey (still can't bring myself to pay 10 bucks for a case/manual for clocktower 3).

Post in the trade thread here! and I have a bunch of genesis cases at the moment, and I know others post cases in the trade/lowball threads. Thats how I got a case and manual for.hack part 1;)

Looks like you can get a complete copy of Outbreak for $30 - $35 on eBay - you can sell your disc only copy for $25 - $30. In the end, you'd be paying ~$10 for the case and manual which is about what you'd pay through Bre with their outrageous shipping costs.

Also, this is highly YMMV but a local Wal-Mart in my area still had new copies of Outbreak for $30 as recently as last December (though this Wal-Mart always seems to have really old games that no other stores have).

Your gonna bump a thread someone last posted in 5 days ago for THAT? Also, I managed to find a CIB copy for $22+$4 shipping, got it in today *Shudder* my set is complete... Will post a picture of my now CIB .hack set in the pickups thread once I'm done rolling around in them like some animal. (I'm THAT excited)
