Where to find cheap new xbox system

Hey all,
Well, my Xbox suffered a little trauma and I'm getting the repair message with the '07' code. Looks like my hard drive is dead (the system makes some nasty grating noises...). Anyone know where the best deal for a (preferably new) Xbox system is these days?
Any help would be very greatly appreciated! One other quick question... is there a way to rescue game saves at this point, or are they a part of history now?

From my understanding, all new Xboxes com in a bundle so finding a "cheap" option may not exist.
