Which adventure rpg type game to play?

I just finished playing some frenetic action and platformer games (Ninja Gaiden DS most recently) and now I kind of want to play a little bit more laid back of a game in the Metroidvania or even Zelda style (preferably with little or no stylus usage).

I never had a GBA and I know I missed out on some good games there. I was thinking about maybe one of the following:

Castlevania Circle of the Moon (I've played all other handheld CV games except DoS)
Metroid: Zero Mission
Zelda Minish Cap

Any thoughts or other recommendations? Thanks for your help.

Not much in the way of RPG mechanics, but DQ: Rocket Slime is a winner. No stylus, either. And tank battles!

Rune Factory A Fantasy Harvest Moon is a good one for ds.

Get Zero Mission. You can beat it in about the same time it took to beat Dragon Sword and is so easy. But you can unlock the hard mode after beating the game.

Agreed. Zero Mission is a great game. Just when you think it's over, it's not. Not much RPG to it though. Same could be said about Minish Cap. Squeak Squad is easy platforming fun.

If you're going for laid back Adventure/RPG and haven't played either yet, I'd get the Mario & Luigi RPG games for the GBA/DS.

Your own list is great. Any of the GBA Castlevanias are fun...

So get any or all of the games you list. Go to town.

Agreed prolly one of the better harvest moon games. I like the older games thou because there isnt a huge part of the game based on fighting. I say if natasume would take all the festivals from Magical melody, The mining system from Hmds, The ability to be a boy or girl in the same version of a game, The fighting system from RF, The ability to call shops rather then walk to them and still have the ability to walk to them, Good graphics, Smooth FPS rate, A crap load of more crops, Ways to change crops like using that medicine thing from RF on a seed to make it grow faster or biger or anything like that then if they stick the game in a buffer machine (Polish) for 3 months and have playtester actualy play the game, Did i mention that they should fix the glitches in the game. O crap the single feature that deserves its own sentece THE BEST FRIEND SYSTEM

if you want to relax children of mana is the way to go. just some old school button mashing in a dungeon crawler. very relaxing.
