Which games do you think will be worth a lot a few years from now?

I guess this would be the right forum to ask being as it has to do with auction discussions.

So which games do you have that you're keeping sealed with the intention of selling later for profit, or purely collecting? I personally have Zelda Twilight Princess, FFXII Collectors Edition, Shadow of the Colossus, and Metal Gear the Essential Collection.

Which games do you think are a good idea to buy now? Some people seem to think Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls Deluxe Edition would have been nice too as it retailed for $70 less then a year ago and now its $100 and up. Seems any sort of Collection bundles always end up keeping their value.

Anyways which games do you think are a wise investment, feel free to mention anything however try to stick to games still easily available now.

if you want to make a profit, don't sink your $ into games. You'd do better putting your $ into a mutual fund or buying a 1 year CD.

But, if you had to choose - it's usually the obscure games (in my opinion). Baldur's Gate II, Culdcept, I'm guessing Demon's Souls (not obscure, but not exactly main stream like COD4). Avoid anything sports, or with a year attached.

I really think Afrika is going to be extremley hard to fine fairly soon. It's in stock new and used combined at 3 gamestops within 100 miles of me, and took me absolutley forever for it to show up used at gamestop.com for me to buy with cag16+edge, and it seems the one I bought was the only copy because it went right back out of stock. It had a very low print run and has a niche audience. Also, Natsume's games always tend to be difficult to find even when theyre new.

I'd keep an eye on Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines and Arcanum for PC. They both semi-bombed / went to $20 when they first came out--but then again, there aren't too many decent Vampire and Steampunk RPGs out there. I'm a big fan of anything put out by the Black Isle / Fallout team and I'm sure I'm not the only one. k
