Which Harddrive is compatible for the ps2???? that would fit and be compatible

You're being too cheap though. Cheap to the point of "hell no, that doesn't work."

The official hard drives for the PS2 have some odd proprietary firmware on them that the PS2 specifically looks for. Also you'd need the HDD Utility Disk to setup the drive and Sony doesn't hand those out. Simply put, if you want a PS2 hard drive, you have to buy a PS2 hard drive. That being said, you can find them for about $89 at most places.
I'm pretty sure he meant the one with FFXI because thats the only way to get one. And you can find FFXI and HDD for about $86
I'm pretty sure this is in the wrong forum.

You are correct. With FFXI is the only way it's sold. I only said $89 because most places are selling it for $10 under the MSRP of $99.

buy ff11

and see if u can xfer all the data from the HDD to another cheap HDD

im sure there is a way to make a regular HDD work with the ps2 but youll need to find a way to get the data onto the regular hdd.

I would buy a Sony HDD if it was 29.99
but im not spending 100 bucks for only a 40gig HDD with only a handfull of uses for it and a crapass FF11 game built in.

Also sold with the PS2 linux kit. It isn't any cheaper, but you get more stuff (keyboard, mouse, network adapter, linux cd).
dhrez, are you getting paid for each HDLoader sold? Because if your not you should. I've seen you post this thing so much, i can't believe it took so long for you to put in this topic. And how do you know he could use his computers HD when on the website they say they don't know which HD's are compatible right now. They even recommend getting the 40gig HDD from Sony
What are you talking about? This is the first time I've posted about it; I only first heard of it a few days ago.

Maxtor 80 or 120gb drives work so says the FAQ.
