I'm getting a new HDTV soon and I know they dont have the red white and yellow connections on the HDTV's so I am wondering which is the better cable now to buy the S-Video or the component or what? Most HDTV's support them both but I dont know which will bring better quality.

Most of them actually have 4 or 5 nowadays.
But yes as stated Component is how you want to connect your PS2.
