Which one of you Canadians wants some free money?

A while back this lady sent me a Canadian Money order, in Canadian Dollars, for a game she bought. She got the amount wrong (didn't adjust for currency exchange rate) and as stated she got it in Canadian Dollars. Train wreck from start to finish.

When I tried to cash it, my bank told me it would be a $20 "transaction fee" to switch the currency over to US Dollars. At the time the exchange rate would have had me either getting like $1 out of that or perhaps even owing.

*sigh*

I've been sitting on this thing and HATE throwing money away, so here's the deal - anybody want $35 in Canadian Dollars? I don't want to mess with it anymore, and I'm not going to go to the trouble of opening an account at "that one bank" who won't charge the fee just to cash this thing.

Bear in mind that this thing is probably at least 2 years old. It is a "Postal Money Order" from Canada, and looks a little worn. If these things have an expiration date I would also appreciate anybody letting me know before I go to the hassle of mailing it to a CAG in Canada. Also, is Canada like the US in that I can just sign the back and say "pay to such and such" and then it's in "your" name?

No strings attached, just send me a PM and I'll send it to you.

People here don't like money.

Nah, I'm sure someone will take you up on it.

Really thought it'd be gone within five minutes, though. XP

Jest is the winner of the Canadian MO and had the best response "I like money". Nice :)

WeaponX gets the consolation prize - a Wal Mart Money Order that's probably 4 years old that I never cashed due to guilt/duty/etc. (Came from an Ebayer who claimed they never received their game and I set it aside waiting for them to get back to me on something - I think I had offered them a refund or a replacement now that I think about it and they never responded).

Again, I have no idea if either of these is still valid. All I ask is that Weapon and Jest let me know if they are actually honored or if I've been holding onto them for nothing. I just don't feel right throwing money away.
You can cash a Canada Post money order at any USPS post office, haha. Just do that!
Dang. Really? It's "Canada Post" though. If Jest doesn't get back to me in time maybe I'll give that a shot this afternoon.

I would try that. Or open up a Canadian back account.

Ha ha. Oh well, looks like everybody got me their addresses so they'll have to confirm if they were still valid in a few days. Thanks for the suggestions though.
