not sure if this is the right board for this. move if needed.

a thread below on the 32" sony wega for $529.99 has forced me to buy a new tv.

I went down to bb to get that one but i was overloaded with other options.

Id like any advice and links to sites that may have ratings and consumer reviews if possible.

I dont want to spend over $600. and It needs to be sold at BB.
I dont want anything smaller than 30"

any opinions on the standard 32-36" tv's ? toshiba/rca/sanyo ?

help a brutha out

if you have 600 to spend get the sony 32 inch but then for that price you could get a good rca or phillps for that price and might be able to get up to 36 inches.

I just bought a 32 inch Sharp for 300$

So if u wana save money just get one of those at BB they should still be at that price

I dont see the appeal for flatscreens they nice but not mandatory/sp?

the picture looked cripser and the color was more vibrant on the sony.
Im definately buying a tv this weekend. I can get that tv for under $500.
I think im sold, but when i go back to the store i will wanna be cheap and buy one of the $300 tv's

Really wana spend 200$ more for the same size just a little bit better picture?I dont see the point but thats just me

Unless you watch an assload of tv and dvds id go with the cheaper one... use the left over money for a nice dvd player and some dvds
I'd buy an HDTV if I'm going to spend serious money on a TV at all.
they start at close to double what im willing to spend.

There are options... You can get a 30" Phillips flat widescreen HDTV for $500ish. Circuitcity has a 27" Magnavox flat HDTV for $489.

Costco had a 47" HDTV for like $800. Fatwallet has pretty good deals on this stuff.

I mean, a Sony Wega is a great TV, but personally I'm waiting until HD prices come down before I make any TV purchases... And I currently have a 1985 RCA. I hope to retire it before it turns 20 though.

I dont see the point in spending more money on a sony brand Regular tube/flat screen tv at this point.

if your willing to spend a little more just go for an 32inch HDTV instead.

otherwise just stick to the sharp 32 inchers for 300-349.99

oh and the picture qualities at bb sucks for just about all tvs since we have to split the connection 10000 times throughout the store to all the tvs.

Yep, I've seen some 47" HDTV for around $800 or so. I know Toshiba has one that was highly recommended. You should be able to get a deal on one.

Why ONLY Best Buy? Getting an employee discount?

Well, at my BB at least, they have this section of refurbished used T.V.s that are really damn cheap. Does anyone happen to know if that Target deal works from TV to TV. I thought someone said it did, but can someone confirm this?

Here is a great article on picking the right TV for videogames. You should read this:

much appreciated.
I, buyin it from bb because of their financing deals.
a year or more same as cash.
Here is some advice you should know when you are dealing with a Best Buy credit card.

When you get the bill, you have a small window of time to send the money in. When the Best buy credit card company gets your money, they may hang on to it for a few days before they cash the check.

There were a few times they claimed that I sent in the payment late when in fact, i sent it the same day I got the bill. In other words, the Customer service reps are dishonest and they are a bunch of pricks.

There is a way around it. You should send in your payments before the bill actually arrives. That way, you can avoid any problems in the future.

Remember this is not like dealing with a regular credit card company. Mastercard and Visa will give you leeway for late payments, Best Buy will not.
