Why get mad at Jack Thompson when the world is full of Jack Thompsons?

Every time a problem hits the world now, instead of coming up with any sort of intellectual response, or blame the right people, it seems now that morons are inclined to... pass the buck.

Now another tragedy has hit, and instead of trying to come up with a solution to the problem, morons are blaming Bush.

This isn't uncommon, when gas prices are high, instead of blaming the gas companies, morons blame Bush. It seems Bush is the latest punching bag, just like how video games is the punching bag in the senate.

It's quite ironic how people go out of their way to call him a moron, and they act even MORE moronic.

Don't worry though, when all this dies down, maybe you guys will find him chocking on a peice of food again (Since you have no lives and watch his window at the white house every day), and then you can laugh at more stupid shit.

Actually all of the topics of yours I've seen are worthless too. You just link to an article (or post it) and make a stupid arguement out of it. Perhaps some analysis, opinions of your own, actual POSTING might help.
Bush cut funding? That's unpossible!
Do you even read the articles you post links for or do you just assume Bush is responsible for everything bad in the world?

A corps plan to shore up the levees began in 1965 and was supposed to be finished in 10 years but remains incomplete. "They've never put enough money in to complete it,"
I wonder who was president in 1965.....?

the Army Corps requested $78 million for this fiscal year for projects that would improve draining and prevent flooding in New Orleans. The Bush administration's budget provided $30 million for the projects, and Congress ultimately approved $36.5 million, according to Landrieu's office.

How is this a cut? Do we know what the Army Corp of Engineers budget was in previous years? The article doesn't tell us. They simple repeat that Bush made cuts in three seperate sentences.

Bureaus ask for money every year, and always ask for more than they actually need becuase they know the'll have to settle for a lesser amount when it comes to actual appropriations. and guess who is in charge of the appropriations ? CONGRESS.

... reluctance to invest in unglamorous public works projects and especially heavy demands on the budget, from the war in Iraq and entitlement programs, have added to the difficulty in securing funding for corps projects.
So says the corps. deputy director of public works who aparently has a seat in the budget hearings and remembers the exact person who told him we can't give you money becuase we need to build a school in Iraq with it. Presented as fact in the article, people like alonzo actually think Bush budgeted poor blacks to die in Louisiana so that we could steal some oil from some arabs in Iraq.

Scott Milburn, a spokesman for the White House Office of Management and Budget, declined to comment about the specific allegations regarding funding for hurricane-related projects in Louisiana. However, he said, "The president signed into law a $100 million increase for the corps for the current fiscal year compared to the previous year's level."

Oh, gosh, NOW who do we believe ? Did he increase the budget, or not? I'm so confused.

"Since 1995, we've been replaying these scenarios out in various degrees. As we got together to do these, the people in the parishes would say, `Make them as bad as possible so we can get some attention,' " said Suhayda, who participated in the Hurricane Pam exercises.

So, I guess we should blame president Clinton. He was in office when these exercises occurred, outlining the devistation and death that would become an eventuality. Why didn't Clinton initiate prior propper planning? Unfortunately, that doesn't fit into alonzo's rank and file formula. The objective is to blame Bush for every death, every destroyed home, every poor person who exists, and every disenfranchised black person in america. Misery in all facets is the result of George Bush running the country, or rather, not running it becuase he's riding horses on the ranch instead of being benevolent dictator.

As soon as a President gets into office, he only really has about 2 years where he can blame a problem on the President before him. After that is just passing the buck and shows a lack of responsibility on the part of the new President.

Basically, five years is more than enough time to fix problems from the previous administration.

EDIT: Found a nice little article: http://factcheck.org/article344.html

How is this a cut? Do we know what the Army Corp of Engineers budget was in previous years? The article doesn't tell us. They simple repeat that Bush made cuts in three seperate sentences.

"For instance, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requested $27 million for this fiscal year to pay for hurricane protection projects around Lake Pontchartrain. The Bush administration countered with $3.9 million, and Congress eventually provided $5.7 million, according to figures provided by the office of U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.)."

"Similarly, the Army Corps requested $78 million for this fiscal year for projects that would improve draining and prevent flooding in New Orleans. The Bush administration's budget provided $30 million for the projects, and Congress ultimately approved $36.5 million, according to Landrieu's office."

And from another article:

In fiscal year 2006, the New Orleans district of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is bracing for a record $71.2 million reduction in federal funding.....

One of the hardest-hit areas of the New Orleans district's budget is the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project, which was created after the May 1995 flood to improve drainage in Jefferson, Orleans and St. Tammany parishes. SELA's budget is being drained from $36.5 million awarded in 2005 to $10.4 million suggested for 2006 by the House of Representatives and the president.

The project manager said there would be no contracts awarded with this $10.4 million, Demma said.

The construction portion of the Corps' budget would suffer if Congress doesn't add money. In 2005, the district received $94.3 million in federal dollars dedicated to construction. In 2006, the proposal is for $56 million.

Yet after 2003, the flow of federal dollars toward SELA dropped to a trickle. The Corps never tried to hide the fact that the spending pressures of the war in Iraq, as well as homeland security -- coming at the same time as federal tax cuts -- was the reason for the strain. At least nine articles in the Times-Picayune from 2004 and 2005 specifically cite the cost of Iraq as a reason for the lack of hurricane- and flood-control dollars.......

In early 2004, as the cost of the conflict in Iraq soared, President Bush proposed spending less than 20 percent of what the Corps said was needed for Lake Pontchartrain, according to a Feb. 16, 2004, article, in New Orleans CityBusiness........

The Newhouse News Service article published Tuesday night observed, "The Louisiana congressional delegation urged Congress earlier this year to dedicate a stream of federal money to Louisiana's coast, only to be opposed by the White House. ... In its budget, the Bush administration proposed a significant reduction in funding for southeast Louisiana's chief hurricane protection project. Bush proposed $10.4 million, a sixth of what local officials say they need."

Every negative thing you think about liberals you seem to think I am. The insane screaming, black and white "bush is a nazi" type logic seems more akin to your arguments, except in reverse. There are plenty of liberals you can find who want to scream slogans, I'm not one of them. But then again, paying attention has never been your forte.

But, the argument made by the op was that bush and the current republican controlled government has no blame, which isn't true. I never argued that he was the only one with blame.

You want to sit here and tell me things like "people like alonzo actually think Bush budgeted poor blacks to die in Louisiana so that we could steal some oil from some arabs in Iraq", fine. I hate ignore, because I hate not saying what people say, but there's no point in bothering. Then again, I've ignored you about 3 times but I always unignore you cause I want to figure out what people are responding to. Either way, a reasonable debate is not possible when one of the participants always puts words in your mouth and twists comments beyond recognition. I can debate with quillion, with PAD etc., because they're rational.
