Why is ESPN MLB 2K5 $49.99???

well since EA got the sports contracts (or was it just football) im sure there wil be an inflation as ESPN cant do much in terms of sports games nemore :\..then again, if its ONLY football that was affected, then maybe its just hysteria ya kno :)
 
I thought the $19.99 price was only for this year so they could get more people to give them a try and then go back to regular prices for the follow ups.
 
I think the $19.99 price tag is just for this generation of consoles. It'll probably drop down to $19.99 as it gets closer to release date.
 
Remember that sometimes stores aren't sure about the price, so for preorders they just have the highest feasible price in their system.
 
It's been set at 49.99 for months. ESPN NFL and ESPN NHL were also on the site for 49.99 until being dropped. Just wait, this one will drop to 19.99 as well.
 
I sure hope it'll be $20. I cannot wait for this game. I liked last years also.

I thought the release date was earlier than this....I guess I can wait until March though
 
Ok, my nerves are calm now.

Does anyone think they could get a person to 'try' a game for $20 then expect them to pay $50 for an update on the same hardware?

I'd only pay $50 for a generation upgrade, and all the bells and whistles that come with it.
 
They announced about a month after NFL 2K5 came out that it was only NCAA, NBA, NHL, and NFL 2K5 that were going to be $20 and from that point on the rest would be normally priced.
