I was checking clearance prices at my local Target today and I saw a price reduction sign for Star Wars Clone Wars Lightsaber Duels for the Wii from $49.99 to $19.99. It wasn't a temporary price reduction sign either. Seems like every other retailer is still selling this for $50. I haven't checked any other Targets to verify this, so maybe some of you guys can.

Now to see if I can return that copy I bought a Blockbusters for $25.

He didn't state that it was in the clearance section, and it isn't a clearance price if it ends in .99. I may check an area Target to see if it is universal, but I doubt I will buy it myself. Target website still shows $49.99, but that often doesn't match in-store pricing (see Ratchet & Clank Future/GT5 Prologue thread).

If it turns out to be YMMV, it can be merged with the existing Target clearance thread.

It's about time for a universal price drop on this game anyway, isn't it? It was released on November 11 of last year and we're coming up on July, and, if my anecdotal evidence is to be believed, this game didn't sell well.

No, there is a Target Clearance thread not a Target YMMV thread, but then again nothing should be YMMV at Targets beside the clearance stuff. Also, if the price ended in .99 like the OP stated, then it wouldn't be a clearance item and would have to be a price drop or sale item.

It wasn't clearance and I'm well aware of the target clearance thread. It was in the normal Wii case(s) with a shelf tag that sticks out saying "price reduction". I'll probably visit a couple of different Target stores this week and will check their prices.

And I wouldn't call the game horrible...the kids and I enjoy playing it. Definitely not worth $50 though.

My apologies, but you said you were checking the clearance prices and then you said you saw it. Based on those two things I gathered you saw it in the clearance section. I wrote that really early in the morning...with very little sleep. My apologies...
