Will Circuit City accept a phone camera pic as proof for PM?

CAGiversary!
I purchased a TV less than 30 days ago from CC and now I found J&R has it for a much lower price. If it is not listed on J&R's paper ad, can I take a pic and bring it to CC for pm?

And what do they consider as "local"? Is the distance from Queens to Downtown Manhattan local?

Doesn't CC need to see something in writing? On the website it says:

"Bring the advertisement and your original sales receipt to your local Circuit City for the refund."

It depends on the cust service rep. Technically they will beat any advertised price, and if the price is not advertised, they do not have to honor it.

However, from my experience, if you talk to a sales rep and just them them you saw it cheaper somewhere else they'll probably just tell you go to the customer service rep and not ask for advertisement. Then just tell them that you were sent here by a sales rep because they told you that you are supposed to get money back because you saw it at store X.

That works for me.

Ask if you can have a reprint/copy of the tag or something from J&R's for comparison shopping purposes or the like, (I've done this numerous times and copied tags for people in my store) if they refuse the salesperson would either have to be pretty lazy or a bit of an ass to say no.

Take your picture and the store phone number.
IF you consider it local, they will.
Go directly to a manager and start out by asking for their "help please"....
You'll get your price match!

I'm pretty sure you have to have printed proof or have them call. Most stores are like that, cause they need proof of the price after the transaction. I don't think taking out your phone and showing a pic will help.

I used to work in CC, and, though it's been like 6-7 years, I can't imagine they've changed the policy to treat the customers better: it's price match advertisements only, only for local stores, and there are some exceptions. For example, don't expect to get 6th Ave ads matched at CC, even if the nearest 6th Ave store is across the street.
