Will Growlanser Deluxe be of any value?

I found a NIB Growlanser Deluxe at EB yesterday. Just wondering if I should open it or keep it sealed. I already have a copy that I bought from Blockbuster back in March for $10.
Glad EB had theirs for $60. I paid for it with store credit from the PSP trade-in deal way back when. I wasn't really looking for the Deluxe set. I just saw it and that it would be cool to have.
i bet in a year once stores are sold out it may reach $100 on ebay but thats a way down the line

It will eventually be worth something, most RPGs that are kept sealed end up that way. You just may have a long time to wait. If you already have it, why bother opening it? I'd just stick it on a shelf.

You can't really judge the Growlanser deluxe box for a couple more years. It will probably be worth something down the road. The Lunar deluxe boxes were very common for a long time and look at what they go for now. I remember seeing both Lunar boxes in bargain bins - I wish I had bought them all when I saw them.

i dont think its that great a deal cause the lunars ran either 49.99 or 59.99 and they are grabbing what 60-80 i dont think that is that good of investment. i would rather open it and play it.

As soon as I got it home I put it away with my other stuff I keep put away for the future. Right now it's sitting on a box with SMT:N (thanx chickenhawk) and RE4 CE. Both of those are still sealed also.

This title is available in deluxe and regular versions, unlike Lunar, which had very limited (from my understanding) late reprints of just the game only (and that was, as some speculate, an EB exclusive).

Lunar is, regardless, worth a lot right now. With all the bells and whistles, it can fetch a mighty sum. OTOH, this game might not be worth as much, since it has a "regular" version available for under $35 (EB, I think).

DVD Empire has this for $63.99 after coupon, but I dunno what shipping is.

Lunar isn't that high, really. A complete Lunar 1 or 2 can be gotten on ebay for around $40-70. I got my Lunar 1 for $45 - $4.50 ebay coupon + $6 shipping a few weeks ago, complete with box, cloth map, hardbound manual, etc.

Yes but at the same time I just sold Lunar 2 complete but open for $135 shipped. In mint condition I guess it's something highly sought after.

Wow dude I looked at the completed items search on ebay, nice auction. You had the highest price of anyone, by far. Probably because of how mint the game was. Looks like an aberration though, all of the other auctions were $45-$90, except for one guy who had a mint complete Lunar 2 with the actual game part still sealed, he got $152.

I mean, this guy got $127.50, his game was mint and he had the hardbound strategy guide included ($50-80 value):

Growlanser deluxe might be worth it if you keep it sealed in the plastic for a few years...never been a fan of doing that myself, invest in a CD or something that gets interest instead :D
