anyone know if capcom ever considered putting strider on the current gen consoles? i love that game and would absolutely love to play a proper version of the game again.
 
Can't say I've ever heard them speak of a port/remake, but I wouldn't be shocked since Capcom has somewhat of a reverence for (and desire to milk money from) their back catalog. Given the success of Bionic Commando Re-Armed, I wouldn't be too shocked to see them go a similar route with strider..

Yeah, tried looking for that as well as strider 2 for ps1. Hard to located and if found, overpriced.
 
I tend to agree that Capcom will eventually milk... er... bring this back. I'd love to see a new one in the same vein as BC: Rearmed, with a VC release of the Genesis and NES games.

btw, if you're buying Strider 2 on PS1, be sure to get both discs.
 
I actually found the original Sega Genesis version recently complete for $5. I was pretty shocked! It would be great though if they released it for XBLA or PSN. It's harder than I thought it would be.

Speaking of this the discs were burnt incorrectly. The Strider disc is actually Strider 2 and visa versa. To my knowledge all copies of the game are like this.

i actually bought strider 2 release day and my copy was totally fine. i actually never heard of this.

i was such an idiot for selling that game. i really wish i never got rid of it along with my ps1 collection. i thought i would never play that game again. but that was one of my favorite all time games. didn't care for 2, although it was alright, but those upside down levels on the first one was just fantastic.
 
I'd like to see more Capcom XBLA double-packs. Since they already did Final Fight/Magic Sword, I'd love to see Strider/Captain Commando and then finish it up with some Knights of the Round/King Of Dragons
