Win a $3000 PC from Kotaku (Please don't discuss answers)

I have never understood how some people find these hard. Time-consuming, yes, but really not hard if you read Kotaku daily. At least, with me, I can sometimes answer off the top of my head or otherwise know exactly what he's refering to and can find it in ten seconds.

I'm about halfway done after about 20 minutes, so I'll probably finish it up tomorrow.

I agree that isn't a $3K other than a $600 video card nothing spectacular there. Too much work for a PC that I don't want I'll pass.

Meh...
Google is my friend.

Only had problems with one mission and one question.

I accidentally did Mission 5 from the PS3 give away thinking it was the last part of this giveaway.
Yeah that Computer isn't worth 3 Grand. Maybe 1500 max
Well kotaku is talking purely of the Alienware price of it, not the actual VALUE of the part in it.

If you made it yourself it'd be about that price, but you know alienware... lol.

And where are the rest of the questions? I only see mission 1 on the link you gave us...

EDIT: nvm I figured it out, reading the directions helps...

EDIT 2: Finished it in about two hours. Biggest problem came from how crappy and limited kotaku's search is. Google pretty much gives you all but one or two of the articles you have to go to.

i was wondering...

i went to kotaku and i signed up for a commenter account. when i go to that contest page, everyloads up but on my IE progress bar at the bottom it seems to be trying to load something from this site. When I try to comment on this contest to see where I get the questions, it doesnt show up at all, so all in all, I am screwed because I cannot answer any of the questions for the contest. If anyone here knows why I cannot comment on kotaku due to the loading of something from that contest page, let me know. Or if you can tell me what the questions/missions are that we have to complete so that I may participate in the contest. Thanks!

You don't have to comment to do the contest. The guy who made the contest and the OP didn't do a good job of explaining the contest for people who have never participated in one of kotaku's scavenger hunts.

Basically you get the first clue in italics on the page the OP gave, this clue hints at another article on kotaku's website you must find to answer the question posed. Once you find the correct article (you'll know it's correct because there will be the NEXT clue in italics in it) you answer the question and proceed to answering that question and so on and so forth.

Good luck.

sorry for the poor instructions
