Wind waker bundle question-missing zelda

This bundle is supposed to have a code for the wind waker download and the hyrule historia digital version, right? I got the last one anywhere near me at best buy a few weeks ago (they had to ship it to me) and went to open it today... there are no codes inside. I watched a few unboxing videos and it looks like its a green and a gold pamplet in the little bag that has the other nintendo manuals in it. My box doesn't have those at all. I think the other stuff is ok. It did have one of the two feet things loose in the box which i found odd. So i dont know if this was a return or if someone maybe just opened it and stole the codes. There were no later versions with the stuff pre-installed by chance were there? Im just trying to figure out if they were defintly stolen or what is going on, and I dont want to open this anymore if someone stole the damn codes.

 Anyone know what i should do? Call Nintendo? Just return it to BBY? Thing is i used a bunch of reward points so i dont know if i get those back on a return. Man this really sucks

Why the hell doesn't Nintendo seal their damn consoles? Seriously. They did this with the gamecube too which makes me leery aboutg buying 'new' ones on the 2nd hand market. Is it that hard to put a friggin seal on a several hundred dollar console??

 
I'd call Nintendo and give it a try. From what I've read, Nintendo has some pretty nice customer service. I think, worst case scenario you return it to Best Buy.

 
I was hoping there were versions with it pre-installed or something but i guess not. I Just called Nintendo. They couldn't do crap for me. Only thing they did was verify that the console itself hadn't been activated, and that the code wasn't redeemed on THAT console. They wouldn't give me another code or anything else. Kinda BS. Not sure if maybe calling again and trying someone else would help maybe? I would think if they could verify it wasn't redeemed there they could give me a damn code

What are my options? Way i see it its basically just return the system to BBY and forget about a Wii-U. There are no more for exchanging it. Im also concerned since i used a bunch of gift cards and rewardzone points. Im not sure if you get those back *sigh* this is a friggin headache that could have been solved by a couple friggin pieces of tape. Nintendo seals its cheaper handhelds, but not its expensive consoles. I dont get it

 
guess thats the next step but im not very confident... their 'fix' will probably just be to return it. ANd im not sure if you get your RZ points and giftcard money back. I'll try that later tonight or tomorow i guess. I need to babysit my niece in a bit

Yes you get all of that back. Just speak in a calm tone and let them know if they can replace the game and the book. If they can do one (the game) and not the other (the book), see if they can credit you some money for not having the book. They may just give you it back on a gift card.

 
Are you sure you didn't have the cards?  Was the console returned previously by someone else?  Have you tried to call Nintendo?  They might give them to you for free.
