wireless N repeater recommendations

Since there are a lot of hardware discussions in this part of the board, I decided to ask here. We are getting Direct TV installed in our house and the only place they can easily add a second jack for the cable modem is on the other end of the house. I get a terrible connection in my room and this is where I do most of my gaming. My 360 will not even pick up a connection and my computer gets a lousy one. Can anyone recommend a solid repeater that I can stick in my room? I have a decent router (D Link 655), but we live in an older house and the amount of stuff the signal has to penetrate to get in here is ridiculous.

Thanks for any suggestions. Also if anyone has a good recommendation for an omni directional antenna or anything else that might bounce the signal better towards the other end of the house I would love to hear it.
