I made a deal with this guy, he agreed to pay me 40 bucks for my perfect condition Disgaea. However, after 1 week I never heard anything from him so I though that he scrap the deal.

So I come here and offer people 35 bucks for my Disgaea. no one buy it, but this dude pay me give me 33 for it. I guess it's ok since it's only 2 bucks away from 35 anyway. So he send me 33.55! He think that shipping is 55 cent. I learned my lesson for not making a clear shipping cost too. So that mean my Disgaea is sold for 32 dollars since I have to take out 1.55 for shipping.

And guess what, when I go home from the post office. I recieve a mail, it's the 40 bucks the first dude just sent me. OMG, he never email me or say anything that he send out the mail couple days ago. Anyway, I'm not happy. Now I have to send back the dude 40 bucks.
 
Looks like a lot of this might have been brought on yourself. When you trade with people you never want to assume anything. State everything clearly (shipping prices, condition). Live and learn I guess. Hope everything works out well.
 
Oh well this is my first time trading on the net. I guess next time I have to state everything clearly. Everything is done now; game is gone, and 40 dollars check is ready to mail.
 
One question: If I don't cash my money order ($33.55) now. Will the sender (the person that bought my game) able to come to his post office and said that the check is lost or stolen. Then when I come to the bank to cash, the bank won't let me do it etc?

2nd question: Right now I don't have a bank account. Can my friend cash my money order in his bank for me? I'll go to the bank with him too.

you need to be a lil more patient. Mail can take a while and who knows if he sent it out quickly. I would be pretty pissed if I tried to buy something from someone and that happened, I guess just learn from your mistakes.

and he made a new thrad about it? oh well. Postal money orders can be cashed at the post office. Sign it over to a friend if you want. Keep the $40 send that guy the game. Tell the $33.55 guy, you will send the money back and the game got lost.

You lost (as in could have got and didn't, not as in had and lost) $8 + a stamp.

Not really a tragedy, is it?

This is a good point. If this is the worst thing to happen to you all week you're probably pretty lucky.
 
Yes I lost. I just feel sorry for the 40 bucks guy. He just lost 90 cent + gas money to buy the money order. And then lost a stamp to send it to me. Now I send him back his money, and he have to return the money order and get his money back.

So can I go with my friend to the bank, and let him cash the money out for me? Thanks
 
Why dont you send the guy 5 bucks back for being impatient and selling it to someone else...that would be the NICE thing to do...but I guess im not you

Yes that is really nice. I hope he won't send me an email with virus everyday for being piss off of me. Well hopefully this is my last time selling a game online. I bought Disgaea is because it get rare, and I would get lots of money to sell it later. But thanks to Atlus, it is not rare anymore.
 
you can also cash M.O.'s at your local Vons, Ralphs, or Albersons. (super markets) ID required. ship media mail and dont buy confirmation. it'll only cost you bout lil over 60 cents...

and yea.. if this is the worst day you ever had... be prepared for the ride of your life as you grow older...

Good man. A person of weaker moral fiber probably would've opted to just keep the $40 bucks (for all the, um..."trouble"). It's good to see that you're not that kind of person.
 
I already ship the game for 1.55 using 1st class mail. No tracking, or delivery confirmation.

Anyway, how much do Alberson going to charge me when I cash the money there? Since my friend has a bank account, I'll just ask him to do it in the bank for no money charge.
