Wel all pick up that crap once in a while. With CAG I get alot more but at least its cheap. I got Megaman NT for gamecube and the game is crap. The graphics are allright besides the fact that the backgrounds are lame.
The worst part is the difficulty. I know MM games are tough and Ive beaten nearly all of them over the years. This game however (which is based on a cartoon and will be played by children) is freakin insane. The intro level is simple, then I hit this boss that can kill me in 3 hits and to dodge his attacks I need to be a full screen away and pull off a perfectly timed slide or jump. And since the attack is a flame, its hard to judge when to dodge. I feel like a newbie cuz I cant beat the intro stage. Ive only tried the game 4 times and spent 12 lives on this boss so Im not ging to keep it up. Im done with this garbage. And yes Ive used those stupid freakin chips and I almost beat him nearly every time. This game is a huge step back from even the original megaman games that challenged you, but you could learn to beat. My favorite MM game is probably X2. Getting the Shouryuken rocked. This games just a joke.

The game is not crap, you obviously arent as good at megaman games as you thought. Just slide under firemans attacks, stay towards the far side of whatever side he isnt at and slide like 2 seconds after it is shot, and heres an idea use water chips on hip like aqua sword, 2 slices and he dies, might want to equip heat armor too. Dam in the X games what boss can you beat without a single power up, not many unless you work your ass off. Give the game a chance dude.

Hey man Im a huge megaman fan probably more so than you, but you obviously havent played the megaman games for nes or gameboy, because those were VERY hard and make this game look like soft thin cake.

The game is ok. Its a little hard, but Megaman always has been. What I don't like is how they messed with the old Megaman formula of defeat boss, get weapon, defeat boss with that weapon, ad infinitum.

Well i havent played mines either, sounds like its 50/50 now, someone who has played it let us know which is better, not sure when Ill get a chance to -play mines though

Brace yourself, folks. I'm switching to "Shinku Asshole" mode.

If you think Megaman Network Transmission is hard, you are a pussy. Don't try to deny it. You're a god damn pussy. If you want to play a hard Mega Man game, go play Mega Man Zero or Zero 2. Those games are much more difficult than NT, and if you manage to play one of those you'll understand that I am 100% correct.

Besides, if you're giving up that easily, you probably shouldn't be playing Mega Man in the first place.

Clean the sand out of your vagina and go play Devil May Cry 2. I think that game is much more suited to your tastes.

I beat Mega Man Zero, and it is hard; However, I feel that Megaman NT is harder, or at least has a shittier design that arbitrarily makes it harder, i.e. the random chip assignment every 2 minutes.

It isn't harder. And the chip assignment isn't completely random.

I'll calm down for a minute and explain exactly WTF MM:NT is all about. It is a perfect blend of classic-style Mega Man and Battle Network style Mega Man games. If you have never played Battle Network, you'll probably have a harder time figuring out what the hell the chips are there for in NT. If you play Battle Network first, you'll understand NT more because BN *forces* you to understand why you need chips in the first place: because your buster is weak as hell.

And who said you *HAD* to get new chips every two minutes? You can keep the ones you already have equipped, you know.

The chips aren't random because you can a) pick a "default" chip to be sent to you *EVERY TIME* b) Lan only sends you chips that are in the Folder.

And trust me, Zero and Zero 2 are MUCH more difficult than NT. The only difference is I think the final boss for Zero was easier than NT's. Aside from that, NT is pretty much a cakewalk. But a very bad ass, fun and enjoyable cakewalk.

Thanks. I didn't know all of that and know the game makes more sense to me. I will try it again with this new knowledge and hopefully enjoy it more. However, I still don't like how they messed with the classic Megaman formula. I can appreciate not wanting to do the same thing all of the time, and since it isn't part of the Megaman lineage, I can't fault it too much. But it still bothers me.
The X series sucked
And you're a dumbass.

EDIT: Haha! Oh man, you're *THAT* DenisDFat! Oh wow. You know, for once I thought you were just being a total cockmonger and had a stupid opinion.. guess I was wrong. You're a *complete* dumbass.

I had some credit last night at a local place that allows returns on opened games. Hell, the employees encourage you to give something a try because you can always return it if it sucks. So as I was looking for something to blow my credit on, I stumble across McFarlane's Monsters. I know, I hear the groans already. But the tiny, tiny screenshots looked decent and it was made by Konami, so armed with the knowledge that I could always return it, I picked it up.

My god does this game suck. The reason the screenshots are so small on the box is that's the only way to keep the game from looking like ass. It starts out with a TON of inane dialog. The box promises a co-op mode, which was why I grabbed it. Well guess what, the main game isn't co-op. The co-op mode is a "dungeon" that consists of 2 "rooms" - you spawn in, kill shit, it tells you you're going to the next level. The next level, ironically, looks identical to the first one, and you proceed to kill more shit.

This has to be one of the worst games ever to have the Konami label on it. I won't even be picking this pile back up when it hits CAG price-range. There's a reason I had heard nothing about it - people are trying to pretend it doesn't exist.

I was about to call you a dumbass, too... but then I realized you were replying to the topic. I think danny-o (Chief Dumbass of Fairy Land) meant to type "Worst game ever." without the question mark. But being the dumbass that he is, the period wasn't good enough.

Anyways, we're talking about Mega Man Network Transmission.

My understanding was that he was asking what the worst recent game everyone had picked up, and his just happened to be MM:NT. *shrug* But whatever...

That was my understanding until I clicked the topic and read the post.

I thought Gutsman was tougher because you actualy had to dodge his attacks instead my Heatman plan which was just stuffing him with bubbler shots. Its a hard game and I got stuck pretty fast but i'de never say it was bad. I just don't have the determination I wish I did.

I bought Battle Network 3 Blue Version for $5 at best buy, then I sold it at Gamestop for $6, cuz I was putting credit towards a retro SP (which I got), but I only played a couple minutes. I could tell it was a decent game....but Im more a fan of classic MEgaman.

I agree with everyone who says MMNT is difficult. I have played most NES and SNES mega mans(men?) and this game is much tougher. The fact tht your weapon sucks and that most bosses (and some regular enemies) can kill you in about 3 hits makes it very frustrating. It takes 10 min to get to a boss and then they kill you in a second. The older mega men games had tough boss fights that were longer than 5 seconds.

I would use water weapons but I never get them from the random chips.
Having to sit there and wait for new chips sucks. And sliding under the flames take perfect timing and its hard to see where the flame actually begins. I can beat every megman game that I have played. This game doesnt even fell like megaman. Shooting at stationary cannons isnt fun.

I can beat those games no problem. I Beat the entire nes series, X series, gameboy games, the zero games on GBA and rockman and forte. This game doesnt just suck with unbalanced difficulty...its just not fun at all. My friend is a huge megaman fan and he disliked it even after beating it. Im just done with this game. Its not worth my efforts. And if your a bigger megaman fan than i am: Congratulations!

Somone is way too touchy about video games. Yeah I love them too, but I dont get all angry nerdy fanboy on others when they have difficulty. On gamefaqs I helped somone out with problems in Megaman Zero 2 and they really ended up liking it. :D

And of course that post was reported. I dont tolerate that stuff. I am open to a debate but not somone who gets all hot and bothered and whiney the second somone doesnt like the same games as they do. You really provided no argument that changed my mind about the game. But one of its players, is seriously a dumbass. Thanks and good night.

If X2 is your favorite than calling him a pussy is out of place. I beat 5 bosses without any upgrades and finally quit(due to the game being so freaking hard, and me not being able to find any upgrades). I need to finish that and X3(about 1/2 through that one as well)

i dont play MM games.. just dont have a taste for em, but dude just because you find a game easy doesnt mean you have to go into a thread and talk shit to everyone who says its hard.

Zing!

Maybe you hadn't noticed, but I'm hardly what you'd call a fanboy:

http://users.ign.com/collection/welshr

See that collection? See the variety? See all three nex-gens?

Just because you own other consoles and other games does not mean you're any less of an obsessed MM fanboy. Network Transmission sucks donkey balls, thats all their is to it.

ill agree with DDF here, the megaman x series is pretty weak. it seems like a dumbed down version of the first series. ive never played zero, or xtreme, but the only games ive liked is the first series, and the mmbn series

Xtreme is kinda stupid.. it's basically the first two MMX games with a different plot to make it seem like its not the same game.. but the levels and bosses are the same. Zero is great though.

I just think MM is a great series, that's all. The X series is pretty good though X7 had some problems and X5 was just kind of stupid. Xtreme is retarded.

Overall I'm a general Capcom fan with the exception of the games they've made that suck... Chaos Legion, Resident Evil Outbreak....

fireman.....hard...... i guess you will have no chance when you get to quickmans stage......[much harder than MM2 quickman stage]

this game didnt suck, to me it just didnt feel quite right. it was pretty hard.

as for megaman zero 1+2, i dont know why people thinks is too hard. good games though, cant wait for 3.

What else would you expect from a guy with a homosexual elf as his avatar?

I bet he never played the SNES X games (X1-3). Those were bitchin' cool. The PS1 games, X4 and X5 are good and OK respectively (I haven't played X6 yet). I don't thing X7 is as bad as everyone says it is, but it certainly isn't perfect.

I remember being so excited when i rented X1, that exctiement wore off after about 10 minutes of playing it

I always hear people complain about the difficulty in this game. I guess I got lucky. I beat flame man on the first try, and after a bit of leveling up (i.e. getting more cannon chips) the game wasnt bad. I beat it on a rental, and then got it in a trade and havent played it since. But I had a lot of fun playing it. It really is fun after you get apst a couple of bosses. Give it a try!

Since you beat it, you should try going for Bass. You need to get all the Navi chips (aka boss chips... not their weapons, but the navi chips such as Roll, Fireman, Quickman, Zero, etc.) then you find him somewhere.. god i forgot already.. check gamefaqs.

I didn't get a chance to pick it up when it was cheap :whistle2:(. I love megaman games though, would i like this one even if i hadn't played the other NT games?

I refused to play MM:NT it spits in the face of what was once a great series on the NES & SNES, besides my 11 year old brother had little trouble getting through it, so I had no choice but to dismiss it out of principle.
